You can help build resilience to climate change in the Pacific Northwest.

Since 1995, scientists with the Climate Impacts Group have worked alongside decision makers —  people who manage our utilities and transportation systems, forests and coasts, and other vital resources — to prepare for the effects of climate change.

Thanks in part to the Climate Impacts Group’s science and expertise, a popular beach in Tacoma is being redesigned to withstand climate-related sea level rise; legislators, reporters and the public are more informed on how climate change stands to impact Washington’s glaciers and oceans; land managers are better prepared to protect lands that provide critical habitat to our wildlife, and much more.

By giving to the Climate Impacts Group Innovation Fund, you can provide critical funding that makes efforts like these possible. From supporting decision makers with research and technical assistance, to building community partnerships and communication efforts, to training the next generation of scientists in creating usable science — your gift will support us in every aspect of our work.

Gifts to the Climate Impacts Group can be made through the University of Washington Foundation Giving page. Gifts should be made to the “Climate Impacts Group Innovation Fund”.
