Teaching Science, Math, English and Social Studies (Grades 8-12)

Master of Arts in Teaching - Science and Math

This hybrid program includes courses in person and online. Students can choose a one-year or two-year pathway to complete the Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) program. An undergraduate degree (or recognized equivalent) in the STEM discipline is required. More about the program

Master's with Initial Certification - English and Social Studies

Through the Master’s with Initial Certification (MIC) program, students earn both a master’s degree and secondary teaching certification–all within one calendar year. Certification is available in English and Social Studies. This is a 31-hour, full-time program. More about the program

Teaching Literacy (Primary – 12th Grade)

Literacy Specialist Endorsement P-12 with Master of Arts in Education

This program leads to certification as a Literacy Specialist P-12 in the Commonwealth of Kentucky. As well, it can lead to a Master of Arts in Education degree if needed and/or rank change (Rank I or Rank II). The program is delivered in a variety formats, including online, hybrid, and face-to-face. More about the program

Teaching Students with Visual Impairments

Master of Science Degree Program (with certification options in Visual Impairments)

This is a hybrid online Master of Science degree program, with three graduate level certification options in Visual Impairments (VI). Make a difference in the lives of children who are blind and visually impaired by teaching them the skills necessary to achieve independence and success. Courses are offered via Zoom in the evenings, face-to-face weekends in the fall and/or spring, and one intensive face-to-face summer. This allows individuals who work full time during the day to still participate in the program. More about the program

Teaching Agricultural Education (Grades 5-12)

Master of Science in Career, Technical, and Leadership Education

The Master of Science in Career and Technical Education with Initial Certification (M.I.C. Program for Agricultural Education, Grades 5-12) is housed in both the College of Agriculture and the Teacher Education Program in the College of Education.
