Ha. I bought one of them during the pandemic to help carry my tools in, since I was always losing them when testing my robots out in the field (often, literally), and I just can't stand tool belts. Leg bags allow you to carry more, they tend to have a lot more pockets and compartments, easy to completely remove when needed, stay in place (no jiggling or shifting around when moving) and just more controllable. You can also find high quality and large sized ones (often in leather, my preferred) by looking up "drop leg bags", those tend to be more focused on bikers since they are unsuprisingly useful for bikers to have when riding, and they tend to be longer fwiw.
They also work phenomenonally well at events like Ren Faire's and the like. So much more useful than fanny packs or full backpacks.
