The intent is to share hardware designs similar to how 3D printable parts are shared and managed. This is typically sharing the part to be printed, not the source CAD. That model will be continued here, especially with RE-RASSOR, as the source CAD is under a NASA License.

What will be shared in general are the STL models for the parts. The allows the parts to be fairly universally used and is much simpler than CAD files or intermediate formats. Additional detail may be made available through partnerships.
