FFN Director retirements and elections

As 2024 draws to a close, we reflect on what has been a busy year for the Future Farmers Network (FFN) and look forward to what 2025 will bring.

At the FFN Annual General Meeting, held online on 19th November 2024, we farewelled the following directors from the Board:

– Caitlin McConnel (QLD)

– Jessica Loughland (VIC)

– Laura Cala (WA)

Ongoing directors Lauren Roellgen (QLD), Kelly Seagrave (NSW), Claudia Mitchell (NSW) and Libbe Paton (VIC) are rejoined by Majella Nolan (QLD) and Will Atkinson (QLD) who were re-appointed to the Board, and are delighted to welcome the following new directors:

– Jacob Heard (VIC)

– Aimee Bolton (VIC)

– Amy Clementson (NSW)

– James Dowd (SA)

We are also excited to announce the following directors were subsequently elected as the 2025 FFN Executive Committee:

– Chair: Lauren Roellgen (transitioning from Vice Chair)

– Vice Chair: Will Atkinson (transitioning from FFN Treasurer)

– Secretary: Majella Nolan

– Treasurer: Amy Clementson

We would like to thank Caitlin, Laura and Jess for their invaluable contributions to FFN during their respective tenures. We would also like to congratulate Aimee, Amy, James and Jacob on their appointment to the Board, and Lauren, Will, Majella & Amy on their election to the executive committee.

FFN remains the only national network supporting young people in Australian agriculture across all commodities. The composition of the FFN Board reflects a wide range of skillsets, industries, geographical representation, personal backgrounds and experiences, placing the organization in good stead to work with partners and deliver tangible benefits for our members in 2025.
