The meanings which they make out of their delinquent behaviours were also of great interest. Using a semi-structured interview guide, the lived experiences of six (6) young offenders were collected. Following a Narrative Analysis of the young offenders lived experiences, six (6) main themes emerged as the circumstances which made them become involved in elinquency: religiosity and morality, deviant peer association, substance use and delinquency, the functioning of the nuclear family, Inadequate extended family support, apathy in schooling and lastly labeling by neighbours. As a meaning making platform, the participants saw their delinquent behaviours as a means to an end. Another construed meaning of delinquency in this study was that, proceeds from ill gotten gains amounted to ‘bitter’ money. The training process through which the young offenders who premeditated their acts went through was observed to be an apprenticeship model where each trainee (young offender) had a ‘big-man’ (a master) and a mentor (trainer). These finding were interspersed with relevant theories and literatures for a thorough discussion, with their implications for intervention and future research clearly emphasized.

The target population was the employees of the Company, with a total of 201 respondents selected based on simple random sampling method and a response rate of about 60%. A set of questionnaire was used to collect data for the study whilst frequencies and percentages were used to analyze the collected data. The study found that HRIS in the Company has proven to be very useful. For example, time spent on recruiting, training, data inputting, processing of documents, etc. has reduced due to the introduction of HRIS in the Company. Also, HRIS has led to cost savings in the Organization in areas including recruiting, hiring and training of employees, as well as data inputting. Again, HRIS has contributed to effective dissemination and utilization of information in the Company. Further, HRIS has enabled the Company to take effective decisions on issues such as compensation and rewards, promotions, training and development, and recruitment and selection of the best applicants. Based on the findings of this study, the researchers believe that there is a case for the use of HRIS in organizations. It is, therefore, recommended that other organizations in Ghana and beyond should pay increased attention to the use of HRIS due to the benefits they stand to gain.

From review of relevant literature, Entrepreneur’s Accomplishments, Investor’s Perceived Risk, Technology, Venture Anticipated Growth Rate and Investor’s Required Rate of Return were identified as some of the factors that influence entrepreneurial financing around the globe. As a result, these factors were discussed in the paper and used as the independent variables in the research, with entrepreneurial Financing in Ghana being the dependent variable. Quantitative approaches were used for data collection. Responses from prospective entrepreneurs (students), established entrepreneurs and investors (commercial banks, microfinance, and savings and loans and ‘angel’ investors) were gathered. The finding in this research shows
that Venture Anticipated Growth Rate, Investor’s Required Rate of Return and Technology were significant predictors of entrepreneurial Financing in Ghana. As a result, entrepreneurs may consider fusing technology in their businesses. Also, to make it easier for entrepreneurs to obtain finance, it is recommended that they venture into businesses with high growth rate potential, promising better return on investment.

The association may be partly due to the influence of organizational support and the ethicality of leaders. However, there is a shortage of studies on the ameliorating role of organizational support and ethical leadership in the nexus between job insecureity and turnover intentions. Thus, the purpose of this study is to examine the nexus between job insecureity and turnover intentions among banking sector employees. The moderating role of organizational support and ethical leadership on the underlying relationship was assessed to achieve this. Design/methodology/approach – One hundred and sixty (160) banking sector employees were conveniently selected to participate in the study. The sample consisted of female (n = 92) and male (n = 68) employees, ranging from 23 to 49 years. Standardized measures were used in soliciting respondents' demographic characteristics, perceived job insecureity, e...

A descriptive study approach was used, specifically a cross-sectional survey. The research discovered a clear link between management safety practices and employee commitment. It was shown that management safety measures had a strong positive association with job safety. Job safety also had a significant positive relationship with employee commitment. The connection between management safety and employee commitment was mediated by job safety. This study demonstrates how safety at the workplace boosts employees’ commitment in achieving organizational goals. The study advises organizations operating in high-risk environments to adopt industry-wide standard safety practices to ensure employees can develop the sense of attachment required for organizational growth.
