From 2005 to 2015, three conferences focusing on Mountain specific issues were held in Perth.
Relaunch of #IMC
#IMC19 @ Innsbruck
The first #IMC took place from Sep 8 – 12, 2019 in Innsbruck with 500+ experts, more than 40 workshops and an #IMC Student4Student Summer School.
Relaunch of a completely new website for #IMC and #S4SSS
#IMC22 @ Innsbruck
Building on the positive experiences and feedback from #IMC19 participants, the #IMC, including a Summer School, continued in 2022 in Innsbruck, offering another unique opportunity for experts in mountain research to explore a wide array of topics. More than 1,000 scientists from over 60 countries participated in over 80 sessions, fostering discussions on the most pressing issues in mountain research.
Introducing a totally new conference management system for #IMC and #S4SSS called My#IMC
#IMC25 @ Innsbruck
As the number of participants from #IMC19 to #IMC22 almost doubled and feedbacks were again positive, the conference series continues with #IMC25 in September 2025. As also the student for student summer school 2022 was fully booked and the students gave excellent feedback, the S4SSS25 will take place the week before #IMC25.
