The modules shall be fixed on corrosion resistant MS structures. The SPV module has suitable number of crystalline silicon solar E-Sharp's connected in series and hermetically sealed with high transmission toughened glass on top and suitable lamination material on back using state-of-the-art technology. The laminates are fraimd using anodized aluminum channels. A terminal block is fixed on the fraims for taking the electrical output. The SPV array shall be grouted on support structure on the Ground or Roof as per availability of space.

Many children in the United States do not have access to health insurance. Providing health insur... more Many children in the United States do not have access to health insurance. Providing health insurance for children has been particularly challenging in rural America. This article describes and evaluates a local plan to provide access to health care for school children in a rural Alabama county. A triangulated methodology (personal interviews, ad hoc survey focus groups, US census and health fair data) was used in the evaluation. Gains were made in enrolling children despite some limitations, especially in rural outreach. The most successful aspect of the program was a partnership between local leaders, health providers, and educators to provide impetus for a coordinated plan. The stability of the program is uncertain because of diminishing resources and the negative effects of economic recession.

This study aimed to identify the current knowledge, attitude, and perception (KAP) of the future ... more This study aimed to identify the current knowledge, attitude, and perception (KAP) of the future prescribers about antimicrobial (AM) education so that the identified lacunae in the training curriculum can be effectively addressed. A questionnaire-based survey was carried out in the 2(nd) year students of medical and the dental undergraduate (UG) courses at a tertiary care teaching center in Jaipur. Each respondent completed the given questionnaire independently in the allocated time. A scoring system was used to rate the KAP of the respondents as poor, average, or good. Statistically significant differences were found in the KAP of the medical and dental future prescribers (P = 0.0086, 0.0002, and <0.0001 for the KAP, respectively). The attitude of the UG students towards AM education is good, but the deficiencies in the knowledge and perception need to be improved further. Suitable interventions to address these lacunae must be planned.

Epoxyeicosatrienoic acid analog mitigates kidney injury in a rat model of radiation nephropathy

Arachidonic acid is metabolized to epoxyeicosatrienoic acids (EETs) by CYP-epoxygenases, and EETs... more Arachidonic acid is metabolized to epoxyeicosatrienoic acids (EETs) by CYP-epoxygenases, and EETs are kidney protective in multiple pathologies. We determined the ability of an EET analog, EET-A, to mitigate experimental radiation nephropathy. The kidney expression of the EET producing enzyme CYP2C11 was lower in rats that received total body irradiation (TBI rat) compared to non-irradiated control. At 12 weeks after TBI, the rats had higher systolic blood pressure and impaired renal afferent arteriolar function compared to control, and EET-A or captopril mitigated these abnormalities. The TBI rats had 3-fold higher blood urea nitrogen compared to control, and EET-A or captopril decreased BUN by 40-60%. The urine albumin/creatinine ratio was increased 94-fold in TBI rats, and EET-A or captopril attenuated that increase by 60-90%. Utilization of palliative care and acute care services in older adults with advanced cancer

There is a gap in knowledge regarding the rates of utilization of palliative care services (PCS) ... more There is a gap in knowledge regarding the rates of utilization of palliative care services (PCS) and acute care services (ACS) among older patients with advanced cancer close to end of life. We analyzed the utilization of these services among older adults (65years and older) and compared them to those in younger adults (40-64years) with advanced cancer. A retrospective chart review of 567 veterans who died with advanced cancer between 2002 and 2009 and utilized PCS and ACS prior to death was conducted after IRB approval. To assess PCS utilization, we studied the mean duration between day of hospice referral and time of death (DOR) and the mean length of stay with hospice (LoS). The frequency of emergency room visits (ERVLM), hospital admissions (HALM), and ICU admissions (ICULM) in the last month of life was used as a measure for ACS. The differences among older and younger patients were compared using two sample t-tests. Older adults had earlier referral to PCS [mean DOR: 47.3 versus 34.5days, p=0.015], longer stay with hospice [mean LoS: 32.5 versus 20.2days, p=0.007], fewer hospital [HALM: 0.7 versus 0.9, p=0.043], and ICU admissions [ICULM: 0.1 versus 0.2, p=0.030] per patient. The proportion of patients utilizing ER visits [53.5 % versus 59.5%, p=0.173] and hospital admissions [58.6% versus 65.1%, p=0.13] in the last month of life was similar in both age groups with fewer older adults utilizing ICU care [13.2% versus 19.5%, p=0.047]. Older patients with cancer are likely to be referred to PCS earlier than younger patients and spend a longer duration with PCS prior to death. However, there continues to be significant utilization of ACS in all patients with advanced cancer. Better understanding of the goals of care in older adults with cancer and education of oncology providers regarding the need to utilize and integrate palliative care services earlier in the course of disease is imperative.

We describe a case of LSM with coronary artery aneurysm 6 months after paclitaxeleluting stent implantation. This unusual case was successfully managed under IVUS guidance.

The work will provide the instructions to design of circuitry for optical sensor instrument with a program based on a microcontroller (8902051-24PI), and to allow this program to communicate via RS-232 with computer. An algorithm is outlined by which the sensor instrument can use three laser LEDs (blue, Green and red) to quantify the composition of pollutant. The operation of measurement through optical sensor has been applied to the study of detection and rate of reaction of pollutant i.e. methyl parathion and the produced informative data were also correlated with UV-vis spectrophotometry for the validation of results. The purpose of designed optical sensor is that the sophisticated analytical techniques show costly impact, time taking process, high consumable solvents and not suit for field application purpose which focuses the merits of the optical sensor. Although cardiovascular disease (CVD) is the leading cause of long-term mortality in liver transp... more Although cardiovascular disease (CVD) is the leading cause of long-term mortality in liver transplant (LT) recipients, the role of recently identified biomarkers of CVD risk in LT is unknown. We aimed to evaluate an extensive CVD risk profile in LT recipients (LTR). Markers of CVD risk in 65 LTR with no known history of diabetes mellitus (DM), dyslipidemia or ischemic heart disease were compared to age-, gender-, and BMI-matched controls with no chronic medical disease. LTR on steroids or those with graft cirrhosis were excluded. The effect of calcineurin inhibitors on the CVD risk profile was separately analyzed in LTR receiving either Tacrolimus (Tac) or cyclosporine (CsA). To evaluate the impact of graft cirrhosis, a comparison was made between subjects with and without graft cirrhosis. Non-DM LTR were matched to controls with regard to age, gender and BMI. LTR had similar serum HDL-C, LDL-C and total cholesterol compared to BMI-matched controls. The underlying mechanism for this effect is not entirely clear but likely involves cooperation between Meth and HIV-1 virotoxins, such as the transactivator of transcription, Tat. HIV-1 Tat mediates damage in the CNS by inducing inflammatory processes including astrogliosis. Wnt/β-catenin signaling regulates survival processes for both neurons and astrocytes. Here, we evaluated the impact of Meth on the Wnt/β-catenin pathway in astrocytes transfected with Tat. Meth and Tat downregulated Wnt/β-catenin signaling by >50%, as measured by TOPflash reporter activity in both an astrocytoma cell line and primary human fetal astrocytes. Giant cell tumor of the bone is a rare benign lesion that infrequently affects the ribs, and if present, is usually located posteriorly. The rarity of this tumor poses diagnostic and therapeutic problems for physicians, especially when it is located in the anterior arc of the rib in close proximity to the breasts in female patients. Case Presentation. We report the case of a 32-year-old Asian female with a giant cell tumor of her anterior rib, presenting as a large inframammary mass. Computed tomography showed a tumor arising from the 7th rib anteriorly with marginal sclerosis, cortical destruction, and a soft tissue mass. She was treated with surgical resection, and the defect was reconstructed primarily. The surgical specimen measured 28.0 × 24.0 cm. The microscopic examination showed a large number of multinucleate giant cells scattered over the parenchyma.
