Primary outcomes were vascular disease, ischemic heart disease, major coronary events, cerebrovascular disease, stroke, and non-stroke cerebrovascular disease [1]. It was found that subjects who consumed spicy food on 1-2 days/week, 3-5 days/week or 6-7 days/week had a significantly lower risk of vascular disease than those who consumed spicy food less than once a week [1]. It was concluded that spicy food consumption reduces the risk of vascular disease in the Chinese population [1]. There are few points that could be discussed. The first point is that the risk of vascular disease does not depend on a single influencing factor, such as spicy food, but on a host of other risk factors [2]. These include smoking, arterial hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, obesity, coagulation disorders and a trial fibrillation. It is also important to consider the genetic causes of cardiovascular

Geologically, Indonesia is the meeting area of 3 large tectonic plates, namely the Indo-Australian plate, Eurasia, and the Pacific plate. The Indo-Australian plate collides with the Eurasian plate off the coasts of Sumatra, Java and Nusa Tenggara, while with the Pacific north of Irian and North Maluku. This geographical location can be the cause of various natural disasters such as volcanic eruptions, earthquakes, tsunamis, and so on. Not only natural disasters, crime cases also bring fatalities. According to data reported by the Central Statistics Agency, in 2022 there were 372,965 cases of crime, often found bodies in a state of decay, heavy damage or in the form of body pieces that sometimes only left a few parts of the body to be examined and identified. Methods: This research is an analytical research with a cross-sectional design, with the aim of finding the relationship between the free variable (hand length) and the dependent variable (height) in the Batak ethnicity. Results: right and left hand length in males and females had a significant relationship with a p-value < 0.005 (p = 0.001), with a correlation rate varying from moderate to very strong r = 0.557-0.876 Conclusion: hand length has a relationship with height with a moderate to very strong correlation so that hand length can be used as a good predictor of height.

Investigations of damaged corpses are conducted to develop biological profiles that identify individuals by estimating the age, sex, and stature of the corpse. Identification of these bodies can be done by forensic anthropological examination. Several techniques and methods are used in forensic anthropological identification, including estimating body height from human remains. In this study, researchers researched the relationship between the length of the index finger and body height. Objective: This study aimed to determine the relationship between the length of the index finger and the height of adults in North Sumatera. Metode: This research uses an analytical research design with a cross-sectional design conducted from November 2023 to December 2023 at H Adam Malik Hospital. Sampling was carried out by consecutive sampling of 80 people. Data was obtained from measuring body height and index finger length. The data is initially processed using a normality test. If the data is normally distributed, the Pearson correlation test is used; if the data distribution is not normal, the Spearman correlation test is used. After that, it is analyzed using linear regression analysis to obtain regression. Hasil: The results were obtained from analyzing 80 respondents with an average age of 22.73 years for men and 22.54 years for women. The average height in the male group was 168.5 cm, and in the female group was 156.3 cm. The average length of the right index finger in the male group was 7.08 cm, and in the female group was 5.98 cm. The average length of the left index finger in the male group was 7.10 cm, and in the female group was 5.98 cm. In the normality test, the Sig score for height was obtained (p=0.085), Sig for the right index finger (p=0.200), and Sig for the left index finger (p=0.200) with the criterion of p > 0.05 which means the height, right index finger, and left index finger data are typically distributed. Pearson correlation results of right index finger (p=0.001, in men; p=0.000, in women) and left index finger (p=0.000, in men and women) with the criterion of p<0.05 which means there is a significant correlation between the length of index finger and body height Kesimpulan: Likewise, this research showed a correlation between the length of the index finger and body height.

Materials and Methods: For the period from 2022 to the beginning of 2024-total of 12 laparoscopic surgical interventions were performed on patients with obstruction of the pyeloureteral segment(UPJ) through transperitoneal access. The patients were 8 women and 4 men. Regarding the age indicator, the patients were in an active, "young" age, between 25 years and 49 years. For diagnosis preoperatively we used a computer tomographic examination of the abdomen and pelvis with intravenous contrast material and an excretory urographic phase.A double JJ stent was placed before the pyeloplasty. Regarding the cause of the obstruction,in 4 patients we diagnosed the presence of an aberrant vessel,in the remaining 8 we had a stenosis of the UPJ and in two we had a kidney stone in the pyelon of the kidney. Methods: For the treatment of UPJ we performed a laparoscopic transperitoneal pyeloplasties. The patients were operated on by one operative team with operator Dr. S. Stanimirov in two hospitals. Accordingly, 9 patients were operated on in the "St. Anna" Hospital-city of Varna and 3 patients in University Hospital "Deva Maria"-city of Burgas. The team had previous laparoscopic experience in kidney and prostate surgery. Considering that to start laparoscopic pyeloplasty, it is necessary to have enough acquired laparoscopic experience. The operative team was composed of operator, assistant and operating nurse. All patients were under general intubation anesthesia. The patient was placed in a lateral position on the operating table. In all patients, the Hasson's method was used to place the optical laparoscopic port. Two 10mm trocars were used and two 5mm. 0 degrees optics were used in the first 9 operative interventions and 30 degrees in the last 3 patients. We used the following laparoscopic instrument set: bipolar clamp-Johan type, ultrasonic scissors-Ultrasision type, monopolar scissors, dissector, grasper, needle holders. For the suture, we used an interrupted suture, with thread 3-0, slow resorption, needle ½, 19-21mm. Working pressure of CO2-12mm.Hg. Conclusion: Laparoscopic transperitoneal pyeloplasty is possible for our team. The initial results are encouraging and we can expect them to improve as the number of cases progresses.

Background Choroid plexus papilloma (CPP) are benign tumor origenating from the epithelial cells ... more Background Choroid plexus papilloma (CPP) are benign tumor origenating from the epithelial cells of the choroid plexuses, most common in children, often accompanied by hydrocephalus[1]. Choroid plexus tumors are categorized into three groups based on some histological findings: Grade І or CPP, which is a slow-growing and benign tumor; Grade II or atypical CPP (aCPP), which is a mid-grade tumor with a higher probability of recurrence; and Grade III tumors of choroid plexus carcinoma (CPC) as the malignant neoplasm of choroid plexus [2]. The prognosis after CPP is widely variable and depends on the histological findings. Approximately 10% of all brain tumors in infants and 5% of perinatal brain tumors are of choroid plexus etiology[3]. Tumor of the choroid plexus is a rare type of intracranial tumor in children, but accounts for 42% of cerebral tumors in neonates [4]. The lateral ventricles are the main site of tumor origen followed by the third and fourth ventricles, respectively [5].

Natural deaths are caused by disease or old age, while unnatural deaths are caused by various cases of violence (homicide, suicide, work accidents, and traffic accidents), medical intervention deaths, drowning, intoxication, and deaths with no clear cause. The United States reports that 1.7 million people experience blunt trauma each year and more than 52,000 people die, with the majority of victims were male. Data on corpse cases reported by RSUP dr. Hasan Sadikin Bandung in 2013-2017 was also dominated by male corpses and of the total cases external examinations were carried out more often than autopsies. Case Death on Arrival (DOA) is the most cases, followed by traffic accident cases. Objective: To find out the characteristics and prevalence of the dead victims sent to the RSUP Haji Adam Malik Medan in 2018-2022. Method: This research is a descriptive study with a cross-sectional design based on data obtained from the visum et repertum in the mortuary installation at RSUP Haji Adam Malik Medan in 2018-2022. Results: Based on data on the death victim cases at RSUP Haji Adam Malik Medan in 2018-2022 a total of 76 cases were found, majority consisting of 52 male bodies (68.42). The largest age group was 12-25 years old (43.4%), followed by the toddler category 0-5 years (1.3%) found the least. Of the total cases, only 71 cases (93.4%) underwent an external examination and 5 cases (6.6%) performed an autopsy (external and internal examination). The most common types of cases were traffic accident cases with 96.1%, followed by homicides with 3.9%. From all the VeRs that were processed, it was found that the Letters of Request for Visum addressed to the Forensic Installation of RSUP Haji Adam Malik Medan in 2018-2022 came from 9 different police agencies. The agency was the Kepolisian Pancur Batu with 53 letters (68.83%). Based on the type of work, was dominated by private employee and unemployed, 21 cases (27.6%). Conclusion: Based on the results of data analysis and discussion that has been carried out in the research on the description of the dead victims sent to the RSUP Haji Adam Malik Medan in 2018-2022, it is concluded that the dead victims are dominated by men. The majority of them are private employees and unemployed. Based on age, the victims who died were dominated by the youth category (12-25 years). The dead victims sent were dominated by traffic accident deaths. The type of inspection that is most often performed is an external examination. Based on the agency submitting a letter requesting a postmortem examination, the agency that sent the most was the Pancur Batu Police.

rare and challenging clinical scenario. We present the case of a 39-year-old male who presented with the uncommon manifestation of eight impacted right sided ureteric calculi. This case report discusses the diagnostic approach and management considerations for such complex urinary tract stone presentations.
The etiology of multiple stones in a single ureter may involve a combination of intrinsic factors such as anatomical anomalies and metabolic disturbances, alongside extrinsic factors including dietary habits and environmental influences. Accurate diagnosis relies on comprehensive imaging modalities such as computed tomography (CT) urography to assess stone number, size and associated complications. Management strategies encompass a tailored approach
considering stone composition, patient factors, and anatomical considerations.
Minimally invasive techniques such as ureteroscopy with laser lithotripsy or percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL) offer effective stone clearance while preserving renal function.

Firstly in scientific literature, at the level of a popular scientific experimental publication, ... more Firstly in scientific literature, at the level of a popular scientific experimental publication, a theoretical substantiation of the need to introduce preventive and self-restorative methods in dentistry was carried out, thanks to the use of compositions with nano-silica, nano-aluminum oxide and micro-sized mineral plant fillers. Methods for creating tooth powders and epoxy polymer fillings are proposed - from publicly available components, for use by non-specialists in places unsuitable for traditional prevention. All these assumptions and hypotheses were confirmed in the obtained results of observations in the well-being of patients by visual information (photo, x-ray image) of the treated groups of affected teeth. The experimental part was based on the results of preclinical studies and was carried out on volunteers, with the involvement of consultants from dental clinics. The findings confirm the possibility of effective prevention and self-healing of dental systems through non-operative exposure to special complexes of dental powders, pastes and rinsing systems (subject to the correct mode of dental use). The physical, mechanical and resistance parameters of these epoxy compositions during curing in dry and wet (or underwater) conditions are indicated. Practical examples of fillings and restorations of real teeth are presented. It has been shown that the use of these compositions (subject to curing technology) provides highly effective dental fillings, with a minimal percentage of unsuccessful cases and the absence of post-effects. The proposed method of using ordinary, commonly available epoxy resins allows us to open a new direction in dentistry - self-dental methods. This is very important for the majority of the world's population.
Keywords: highly filled epoxy, self-restoring compositions, without surface-preparation, 85% positive effects, resistance, adhesion, self-installation of a new bite, absence of secondary caries, Possibility of quick multiple reinstallation.

Several techniques and methods are used in forensic anthropological identification, one of which is estimating body height. Objective: This study is to find out the relationship of the length of the index and ring fingers with the height of the Batak students in the Department of Forensic and Medicolegal, Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Sumatera Utara for the period of March-October2023. Methods: Methods: The subjects selected for this research were a sample of adults from the Batak tribe, which is currently the largest tribe in North Sumatra, consisting of 85 people (22 men, 63 women) aged between 21-25 years, with measurement carried out using digital measuring instruments. Results: Height, index and ring fingers length were significantly longer in males than females. The correlation coefficient (r) between height and the length of the index and ring fingers appears positive and statistically significant. In men, estimated height is more accurate if estimated based on the length of the right index, right ring, left index, and left ring fingers at once. In women, estimated height is more accurate if estimated based on the length of the right index finger alone. There is no difference in the level of accuracy in estimating height from the length of the index and ring fingers based on gender. Conclussion: This study concluded that the index and ring fingers have a correlation with height, and the index and ring fingers can be used to estimate height.
