In order to understand in which topics and how the related period registers itself in the literary discursivity of the short story, we'll mobilize all the theoretical instruments of French Discursive Analysis, famous because of the contributions from Michel Foucault with his studies on power relations and/or micro-powers and subject constitution, which are linked to history, to enunciated files, to discursive formations, to the history of prisons, to medical practice and to the comprehension of knowlegde. The hypotheses of this study evaluate "how" these micro-powers act and manifest themselves within the society represented in the narrative..
