Between 2013 and now, I have consulted (independently via my LLC) with the state courts, banks, financial services companies and fintechs.

In case you've been away from the blog for a while, here are the significant events of the last five years.

2019

I completed radiation treatment and the last of several eye surgeries to restore my vision.

I added ActivityPub to my website.

2021

I passed the CCSP exam, and next up will be AWS certification.

2022

I bought a new Mac, a Mac Studio, and a Studio display.

I started using a tandem t:slim insulin pump. I am back to using a Dexcom CGMS. The Dexcom integrates with the t:slim to create a closed-loop system.

2023

I am still working on the AWS certification. I guess I’m not motivated to have social proof that I know how to use it. That’s all these certifications represent.

Started work on a WordPress plugin for the Untappd API. I want to use IndieWeb PESOS to create a post on my blog whenever I check in to a beer. Hopefully, I’ll learn how to write WordPress plugins and code against a restful API.

I may install and configure Alex Kirk’s Friends plugin-iin. My website will become a node of the Fediverse.

2024 -

I passed the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner exam on Saturday, 13 April. I scored 951 out of a possible 1000. Yay me! Next up is the AWS Certified AI Practitioner and AWS Certified Solutions Architect.

My youngest daughter completed her Master’s degree, married to an Afghan refugee and works as a staff librarian at Cornell University in Ithaca. Yay her!
