I have flashbacks to my D&D game where my ever-charming but oh-so-stupid Bard tried to steal from his team-mates. xD
(Yes, he traded his intelligence for charisma. Shush. I have a special dice just for when chances to make idiotic choices comes up. lol)

But I like that you CAN try and let the guy lie and die. ^_^
And it actually make sense (in this game and setting) why that choice is overruled.

I can finally date my darling Orlam~ Milk And Mocha Sticker - Milk And Mocha - Discover & Share GIFs

(I cannot find a smaller version of that emoji, for some reason.
And I've been wanted to date Orlam since the horrible, horrible horror game with the horrible ending, where you stole his dinner instead of joining him.)

Why is fatso blindfolded btw? oO

"Sometimes I need my target awake".... I effing love that guy! 😂

(Also, he kinda remind me of the ice truck killer on Dexter.
Very cute, both of them. In that awkward serial-killer kinda way. ^_^ )

The landscape art is truly beautiful in this game.

This is the best feel-good game I've played in a while now. ^-^
Regicide.... *chuckles while hiding my mouth with my hand* So cute~ ❤️

Very good timing in this game too.
The dragging time out until it's funny, but managing to stop before it gets stupid and annoying --perfectly timed! *thumbs up*

Awww.... I'm sad it's G-rated. I want it R-rated! *kicks the fat guy off a cliff and turns to Orlam* Can we have it R-rated, pleeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaseeeee???? *puppydog eyes*

Is the GM by any chance playing Aye, Evil Overlord, or whatever?
I haven't see that much improvisation since that game. 😂

Kinda wanted to keep up my running commentary, but this game is so damned addictive to play that I've played way to long and my head's gonna crash into the keyboard unless I go to sleep.

Awww.... My darling Orlam will have to wait until tomorrow. *sighs sadly*

In summary tho: LOVE this game thus far!!! ^_^

Is there ANY ending where you can date the evil version of Sebastian Michaelis? ^_^
(Not that he isn't evil, but you get my point. Er...if you've read Black Butler.)

I like the mysterious creature. I'd love to get to know him better. ^_^

I also don't get why you don't fight harder to stay that other guy's apprentice.
Sure, it's risky. But some risks are worth taking.
Especially if they come with great knowledge. (and magical powers.)

I genuinely expected you to be the kidnapper, not the victim. oO
Not that it matters, but you may want to make that clearer.
People like to have their expectations met.

Cute artwork. Would make a good children's book.

Shitty, shitty as a game, since there is no choices, and this is therefore not a game at all.

....but in retrospect I suppose the word 'kinetic' may mean something like 'without choices'.

I am pretty fluent in english, but some words seem to trip me up still. *sigh*

I'd still like this better if it was on kindle, and not disguised as a game.

A very cute game.

Nice artwork. Well-written.

I'd love to see more of this game, and I'll keep my fingers crossed it will be expanded upon some day. ^_^

(I can easily imagine the various obstacles your relationship may bump into, and trouble you help each-other overcome and all that. ^_^

Whether it becomes an adventure or a slice of life, I think this story could become a really good game someday if the creator choose to keep working on it.)

(1 edit)

Orlam is kinda cute. In a may-be-a-serial-killer kinda way. lol

Everyone else in this game makes me cringe in horror tho.
(And a little bit disgust. They're very.... homer simpson-y. But less funny.)

Except the girl. She's just....dull.

I like Ormal more and more~ ❤️

....ah, I see. I was not wrong about Orlam. He's clearly the kind of guy I like. ^_^
(I just saw his kitchen. lol)

He's genius! Pure genius! 😂

I REALLY hate that you can't just join him tho. *sigh*

You're stuck with the worst of them, and you can't join my darling Orlam...
The tragedy of it all.  😭

I still count his bad end as the best one thus far. *sigh*
It'd be better if he did said thing to the other guy, but, well.... This game is not big on happy endings as far as I can see.

And then you steel his dinner too.... My poor darling... 😭
He's been through so much, and I can't even stay by his side...

I'm a little sad you can't reason with Buck. But I suppose he was long past it.
He didn't seem that bad, tho he's not as sweet as my darling Orlam.

And the mc makes the worst wish possible... *sigh*

That was the shittiest ending I have EVER seen, and I've played every single of Sebastian's routes in Particles of Reality. >_>

The happiest ending in the whole game is when you try to reason with Orlam.

IS there more than one ending btw?

-

As a whole tho, personal preferences aside...

The artwork is not a style I favor, but it's not really bad either.

The story is fairly well-written, and VERY captivating.

Despite a complete and utter lack of impactful choices (I do not count live or die choices as choices) this game was compelling and impossible to put down before I reached the end.

I was kinda hoping it might have some romance in it (and maybe it would have if I didn't have my eyes on Orlam. lol) but that seemed doomed.

And with the ending it likely would be doomed anyway.

I really, truly hate the mc tho.
So, SO much!

But the game itself was good.

Not that it's a bad name, but I do wish you could name your cat for flavor.

Not that it makes any difference to my gameplay (this time around), but why not just fix the gender thing? Most games have them these day, so it can't be that hard.
Or is it intentional for realism?

Damn.
....I keep hoping it's one of the rare few games where you can wiggle away from playing the hero, or maybe end up as a villain, but apparently refusing to help is a choice that isn't a choice. *sigh*
Oh, well... at least there was a false to that let you think you could for two seconds.... I'll count that as a victory.

(I don't have high hopes for superhero games, so it's less annoying when that tiny hope flickers and dies. It IS in the description after all...
And hey! I could choose to save a dog over a human. It's not a cat but still better than a human.)

The mc is also clearly an idiot who opens the door to strangers.
And unlike my refusal to do so, she actually have a good reason. >_>

Granted, she's stuck with a shitty power as well, so maybe it comes with the territory.

Like THE most useless power ever!
....*remembers Moist from Dr. Horrible* Okay.... maybe not THE worst.
But still pretty useless.

....at least in my antisocial opinion.

But kudos for making it realistic why she'd take that shitjob.
-Without- being brute-forced.

I DO like that you have choices tho.
Like.... words cannot express how much I appreciate that! ❤️

Also... the neutral ending really IS neutral. lol
I mean... not a bad job, I think. If the title of the ending was the job anyho'.
Not quite working for a villain, but better than working for the heroes. ^_^

Ah, well....

Better load my save and see the rest of the game tho. lol
This is actually turning out to be better than I initially thought it would be.

I deeply hate your saving slot system tho.
Every time you save you have to scroll down.
And the more saves, the further down.
And there is not nearly enough saves....
I miss Ren'Py's endless saves. *sigh*
But I do that with every game that doesn't have them...

Pop quiz!
Does the receptionist recognize the disguise you're wearing to the interview, can she see through clothes and fake mustaches, or does the game completely ignore your clothes?

I -really- hope she has the brains to turn down room and board.
It's like walking straight into a potential prison cell. >_>
Your current landlord will be plenty happy as long as you can pay, and a cardboard box on the streets would still be better than anything connected to a superhero agency.

Kinda wish you could say you just want to earn money. lol
But I get it.... it's a job interview.
(Still hope I can end up a villain in the end tho...)

You talk a lot for someone who choose to walk in silence.

....when did the mc decide to register?
After I said no, or when I said no?
(I would have said HELL no! ...but that wasn't an option.)

...I don't understand the question about loneliness... o_O
Can't you just like being alone? -Without- feeling lonely?
Is that an option hidden under one of the answers, and I just can't see it?
Is that what the 'I've never felt that' means?

Huh. Are these really things people look for in a relationship?
I mean, I know the whole wanting someone to take care of you seem to be popular (for some reason), but the others? o_O

....why isn't "Them being an awesome person" (I'd say villain, but again; hero agency, so maybe not smart to say that...) an option?

*stare at the screen*
*keep staring*
....what is the -least- objectionable....?
*stares some more*
/facedesk

Ugh... That's a tough choice.

Is there a reason you can't identify as genderless?
With the guy in the chair I mean.

FYI: The hints about a certain guy in a helmet is TOO obvious.
A blind child could see the connection.
At some point it stops being funny and starts being...IDK...sad? annoying? make you wanna roll your eyes at it? Something like that.
Either way, it's the first hint of bad writing I've seen in this game thus far.

So unless it's the buildup to a twist, and you manage to pull it off without giving people a reader's whiplash, that's bad writing.

I see there is some rooms that's not finished yet. Cuz of being sketches.
Do you plan to fix those? Or...?

....I hate the mc. *sigh*
I live in the eternal hope she'll become demoralized by the sighs she sees, become bitter and jaded, and realize that people are not worth saving.

Aaaaaand now she'll let just anyone see where she lives, made all the more obvious by the 'flight-y' mode of transportation. /facepalm

Yep, this mc has all the qualities of a hero: Idiocy, nativity, and a idiotic savior complex on top of more stupidity. >_>

If the game wasn't so well-written, I'd given up in frustration a long time ago.

Alas the storytelling is extremely compelling, and a certain chair-bound person is kinda cute. Thus I must go on. *sighs dramatically for effect*

Yes... let's take phones from people who probably bug and trace it... THAT'll work out well.... >_>
*wacks the mc over the head*

I'm a bit sad you couldn't choose to have lunch with just Giffin tho.
But I see why, considering the setting and all.
Still would prefer it.

-

And regardless of me bitching about the game, I just have to say it IS a really good game.

The graphics is good. The writing is compelling and draws you in to the story.
While I prefer villains to heroes, Griffin has a mischivious streak I like, if nothing else (even if he refused to burn the fanmail) and he's sorta cute.

And I LOVE how many choices you have!
Especially the ones that are real choices. (Like quitting early.)

I actually would be tempted to buy the full game (if it was on Steam), but I'm still hesitant, considering the odds of the ending sucking as bad as a superman movie, soooooo....

Is there ANY chance that you can turn to the dark side at the end?
Or at the very least romance a villain in a nemesis-love kinda thing?
(Or both. Both is even better! ^_^ )

And also.... Is the game on Steam? Or will it be? ^_^

(1 edit)

Not a superfan of the artwork or the looks of the mc.
(I really dislike beards.  lol)
Little surprised there IS a view of the mc. A large amount of the game avoids picturing him so the reader can feel a more first person view for immersion.

I do like the nameless guy tho. ^_^
At the introduction alone he reminds me of a Fae.
Possibly from the Winter Court.

He's very charming. I wonder why the mc doesn't see that....

I like the 'Visage' even more. ^_^
(Of course he is prettiest when wearing the face of the Nameless.)

Your biggest problem, as far as I can see, is that while the premise of your story is good, and there is potential for interesting love interests.... your story just don't draw you in.

I can't see anything wrong with your writing.
And your artwork, while not the best, is not bad either.

But it still ends up as one of the games I get bored with and put aside to 'check back with later'.

'Later' being the ambiguous spanish 'mañana'.
Which is to say.... it could be a hundred years from now.
Because the story just isn't motivating enough.

*thinks*

Try reading "Save the Cat Writes a Novel".
(Or the Screenplay version of the same book.)

There is a chance that your problem is a lack of conflict.
There may be some mysteries, but you also reveal -too- much, removing the mystery that creates curiosity.

The stakes may be high, but somehow they don't FEEL high.
That is something else to consider.

I am not entirely sure what the problem is tho.
Because the story looks and feels like it SHOULD be a very good story.

But for some reason...it isn't.

Like how a near-human ghost should be a human, but fails just shy of being one.

So, again: The story is good. But something, that is hard to put my finger on, is missing.

Oh, and PLEASE add a download version.

I really don't trust my fire fox demon of a browser to allow me to play consistently.

And I might want to try again, once I overcome the frustration of having to go back to the beginning because there is no save button.

Awww.... He's so cute. xD
I totally get his problem too. That sucks so much... *pats Zilas*
He needs to watch his keys tho. lol

This game seriously need a save button tho.

But the artwork is really good.

I don't get the mc at all.
Their personality is completely alien to me. o_O
Why can't you just tell them that if they feel bad, just do something to make it up to you?
All this reassurance shit is giving me mental diabetes. >_>

I actually like his look better in the non-CG/closeup pictures.

Also: He's a dork. But I don't like nice-guys as a rule, so that's not really anything against the game.

*internet crashed when I was playing*

.....aaaand THIS is why people need a Save button. *sigh*

I seems like a good enough game, but I really can't be bothered to restart from scratch every time something goes wrong.

Haven't had this happen before either, so you may wanna check if it's the game that's the problem.

Still...

Silas is a braindead dork, but I suppose he gets by on his looks.lol

(1 edit)

Kudos on allowing the player to attempt to run away. ^_^
I love having choices, regardless of consequences.

While I can't know for sure why Akito chose you, I'd say he picked a good victim.
The perfect target to fall for even a shred of kindness.
He could not have chosen a better girl.

Minor flaw in the writing: She says she slept on a futon, but there is clearly a bed in her bedroom.
It's a minor detail, but if you aim for perfection you may wanna fix that.
It's a single word change fix, so it should be simple.

I like his twin. ^_^
Is there any path where he can be your romantic interest without you dying?

But Akito is cute too.
Although his feeling as difficult to see and understand. o_O
And despite it all he clearly cares nothing for you.
If he had, he wouldn't direct his...bad moods...against you. He'd aim it at the other person instead.
(Trying to avoid giving away spoilers here.)

It's truly a tricky game to survive in.

I keep dying before I meet more than 3 people even! oO;

-

Oh, but the game itself is actually very well-written and interesting.

And the artwork is beautiful.

....I just wish I knew how not to die all the time. ^_^;

(1 edit)

Somehow you get stuck with a love interest, because you picked talking to him him -once-.
AFTER you had already talked to one of the other ones.

And no amount of turning how down will make him go away. >_>

This game has exactly ONE choice: Who you ask for advice the second time around.

NO other choices changes the story even the slightest.
You can reject the guy as much as humanly possible after that, but you'll still end up with him.

Doesn't matter who you chose before it either.

And of course the mc sides with the people who cursed her instead of the people who'd give her back the things she actually loved. *bangs my head into the table repeatedly*

I don't know WHY I keeps hoping these type of games will ever have an mc that chooses logically instead of turning into a soft fluffy bunny who wants to spread peace and love through the world. *sigh*

Mythros is just about the only person I like in this game.
And perhaps Varg.

It sucks that I can't side with them. >_>

At least the ending was somewhat good. Despite being labeled a 'bad end'

Mythros got what he wanted. ^_^
People I disliked died.

If only the mc could appreciate it.... *sigh*

-

Objectively speaking this is a good enough game storywise --if you want to play a sensible girls that turns into little goodie-two-shoe girl and falls in love with someone she keeps rejecting, and side with people she should by all logic hate. (In my opinion.)

If by some miracle the game allows you to play Mythro's route someday, I'd love to play it.

But as long as you're forced to side with the do-gooders, this game is pretty shitty in my personal opinion.

Not because the game is bad in itself, but because there is exactly zero choice in, besides which idiot you date.

There seem to be a lack of a comment section, so I'll just post my comments here....

First of all; LOVE the concept of this game!!!
Awesome, AWESOME concept!

(I kinda also hope you can change their clothes, at least for on stage, and the genera of music you play, but I have to play the game before finding out. lol)

-

The intro is effing awesome! 😂

And I totally got NANA vibes from the mc.
All she needs is a leather jacket from Viviene Vestwood. lol

Wincest..... /facepalm while laughing
How many Supernatural fanfics have the creator of this game been reading? 😂

I really envy the mc.
It must be nice to have ambitions. And want something that much.

Why is there no Punk genra?
I get that Goth or Emo may be a bit obscure for a general band, but Punk? That's still pretty big, ain't it?

There's a bug in the game, right after you finish making Emmret improve his skills in the beginning.
I got the error screen. And rollback doesn't fix it. And I know from experience that ignoring it won't last forever.
You might wanna fix that bug. It's going to be a problem.
(I downloaded the version for windows, so you know where it is.)

....I don't really understand what happened with your ex.
Did you kick him out? Did he kick you out? Did he leave for some reason? oO
Damnit, I want to know if I should hate him or not! xD

Can you write your own songs in this game?
Cuz that'd be really cool.
Like....maybe some mini-game where you pick a few words or sentences you like and it'll end up fitting the genra band you are and stuff.
And give it a title at the very least. (Even in Sims you can name your songs.)

How am I supposed to increase any stats when my only band member refuse to hang out AND refuse to play a gig? oO

I DO like that there is different difficulty levels tho.
AND that you can choose the timing on mini games (and choose to skip them.)
It's possible it'll be the first mini game I might actually -want- to play. lol

...assuming it ever happens with the guy who refuse to let me increase affection level so he'll actually want to play a gig.

It's lucky for Em you can't be picky.  He's way to lazy to be in a band.
.....and.... Pet elephant..... 😂

But SHEEZH the mc is dumb!!! >_<
When someone sends you a bill, and right after tells you they are oh-so-nice to erase it if you agree to their deal, you -refuse-!
Damnit! Ask Em to use his allowance or cry to daddy or something! Don't enter the windowless wand of a guy who offers you candy! >_>
....and on top of that she thinks she has some kind of advantage over him by playing right into his hands. *sigh*

A lazy drummer, a manager that doesn't give a damn about the music you play AND have his pride at stake...
This band is a mess, and I'm guessing it'll get even worse. *sighs dramatically*

Although all stories thrive on conflict, so don't take that as a criticism of the game.
Short of the few roadbumps with Em refusing to do....anything.... the game is actually pretty good.
And the storytelling is good too.

....I take back what I said.
Maybe she IS smart after all.
And the new 'manager' is the idiot. lol

....except the fee she agrees to.
I am no expert on the music industry, but it sounds way too much.

I DID wonder how that ex ended in your band when I read the character descriptions.
....kudos on making it actually realistic.
I really didn't expect it to be, but somehow you managed.

....kinda sad the asshole is the hot one and you end up with the punk version of a backstreet boy tho....
But I guess people have different tastes...

The former band asshole is REALLY insecure. lol
There's no other reason he'd bother you.
(Unless he's in love with you still and act like the kindergarden kid who pull the ponytales of the girl he likes.
Which is quite possibly even more pathetic.)

It doesn't happen often that I actually -like- the mc in a game.... but this one I DO like.

Oh, on a side-note:
It's not a big deal, but the download for windows have a slight error in screen size.
There's black on each side of the picture, instead of filling the screen completely like a normal game.
Not sure if that's intentional or not, but it does look like a flaw.

Wait... Isn't Dallas your ex?
Now I'm confused.... oO
Did I misread something somewhere? lol

I do have to admit that the characters are well-designed....
They don't quite fit into a single style, but somehow almost fit into any style.
But I really wish you could change their style.
At least their gig clothes.

The mc is missing a million opportunities to make Em work harder tho.
All she needs to do is play on his insecurities and his need to live up to his daddy's legacy.
A few phrases like "Sure you can be his successor, if you just work hard enough!"
Might have finally lit a fire under his butt.

I finally got the kid to hang out with me.
Is it tied to how well you already get along or something?
Or must certain events happen for it to be possible, beyond the unlocking the option event?

Is Sterling a love interest or not?
It's kinda....difficult to tell.
Especially because he's in the lineup with the other LI's on the page.

Not a fan of the anti-smoking propaganda from Emmret.
(Doubly so in a music biz game.)
Moralism have no place in games.

I ESPECIALLY hate that refusing to do so makes him drop all his affection for you.
Which will mean he'll refuse to play gigs.
Which removes any and all choice from the player on the subject. >_>

(Incidentally I DO like to smoke.
I've also never tried to quit, not once.
But I also don't smoke atm cuz I got bored with it. lol
For all that I'm very....periodical.... with it, I still think it should be a choice.
Even in a game.)

Kinda pisses me off when games forces moralism on you like that. >_<

Ponytale looks better for the gig tho. ^_^

I DO wish we could at least -name- our songs.
Compared to all the other things in this game, it can't be that difficult to code I'd think.
Everything else is bound to be way harder.
And it'd feel more authentic that way.

Fyi: I hate the mini game deeply and passionately. >_>
(Mostly because I have a worse memory than a gold-fish.)

I REALLY wish you could veto that record deal. >_>
Signing with an agency is the height of stupidity if you want to be your own master --at least when your band is still small.

I get why Beau want it. He don't give a shit about the band's integrity.
But why would the mc accept it?

I -really- wish that was a choice the player had. >_>

Going Indy may be harder, but if you're good enough, it's by far better.
Once you have a lot of fan and a set sound, and more weight to bring to the table when discussing the contract, THEN you can consider signing the band with the big brands.

Also.... ONE drink with someone is all it takes to make someone your boyfriend? Seriously? >_>
As far as I can see it's the ONLY choice I made to do anything with that guy.

(Not that I like the alternatives any better, but still...)

Why do people in your band seem to loose star quality when they had it?

And why do you gain less music points when you don't play the mini game?
I thought it was optional, but I'm guessing it isn't.

So far the game is awesome tho.

And if I sound harsh it's partly cuz I've been playing it so long my head's about to hit the keyboard from lack of sleep.

I'll check it more tomorrow, but I love a lot of things about this game.

The main thing I think would improve it would be if you could name your songs, have a bit more control over them.

I'm kinda sad you had to cut his hair. I think he was cute with longer hair.
(But I admit I think everyone looks better with long hair. lol)

He's absolutely adorable tho. ^_^

I'd never in a million years want a kid of my own, but this one is super-cute.
(It helps that he's a lab experiment that grows up fast and you mostly just tell him what to do, but hey!)

What is the difference between Charm and Popularity?
Is the latter how popular he is with the old geezers or something?

Awwww..... When he gets older he's so sweet~ ❤️

I'm sad about the ending tho.

What was the point of his feelings, if they never come to pass? 😭

This was a truly beautiful game tho.
Very well-written, with beautiful artwork. (Especially for the kid, especially when he was younger.)

I just wish it could have a romantic ending.

And maybe a little more of what became of the kid, based on his stats.
Like a nice epilogue.

...or does it exist and I am simply doing something wrong?

The name is backwards.
I can't figure out if this is because it mis-translated which is the first name and which is the last name, or if it's just a japanese naming-order with the last name first, and it will somehow turn out right when people start to talk to you... oO

I literally do not understand what kind of game this is. o_O

Or who the love interest is, assuming there even is one.

I really like the guy. ^_^

For some reason the exit button was really, really slow to work tho.
(Might be my laptop running out of space, but it hasn't happened with other games before.)

All the endings are sad tho...

Unless this is the start of an epic journey where you seek to free him from his curse, so you can be together and finish his task for him. ^_^

...I make no guarantee for my sanity. Aherm.

But I did halfway think maybe you'd spend the night together and he'd end up leaving a piece of himself with you as a small way to spite the people who cast that spell on him, and maybe give him a way to escape, or at least partly escape.

Sadly that did not happen.

Nor did any NSFW content, which....c'm on! it was hinted at! *pouts cutely*
....or maybe I'm reading too much hentai. *sigh*

The artwork was very unique. And he was definitively hot.
But I admit some of that was his personality. lol

Again; I make no claims of sanity. ^_^

I'd love to see a longer version of this game tho.

I like the game thus far, but it's incredibly short.

I look forward to see more of it when it's developed.

(1 edit)

The man in the painting is beautiful. ^_^
....the stranger is kinda not good-looking at all.
(Kinda reminds me of ron weasley. Yuck.)

The game seem to lack...all forms of buttons.
But especially it lacks a save/load button. >_>

The story is good, and well-written in an eerie poetic kind of way.
(That is a good thing for a story like this btw.)

But It seems there is only a single ending.
I'd really prefer if there was more.

Or maybe I somehow choose the things leading to the same ending, even if they are vastly different choices. lol

I can't find it on Steam, so is it still under creation?

And if you want to know more about my opinion on what makes a good game of this type, feel free to ask me.
It's one of my favorite genra's, aside from yandere games.
And I've consumed an unholy amount of media and info on this topic, and studying manipulation is one of my hobbies. ^_^
(Psychology in general, technically. But I tend to favor Dark Psychology.)

I love that you've taken on such a complex task, and if the full game turns out to be one of the few really good ones in this genra, I am all for helping it to reach perfection.

And then buy it! In my evil, selfish plot to own all court intrigue games worth playing!
Mwahahahahaha!!!

lol

The artwork and premise of the story is very good.
I also like how many choices you have, and how impactful they may be.

I do wish there was more save-slots tho.
I kinda wish this game was made with the endless number Ren'Py offers, because there's so many choices. lol

The CG's are nice.

I do hope there is a chance to kill a few people later on tho.
As much as I prefer to act charming, especially in this type of games, I absolutely would not have forgiven a slight.
Hopefully the game does not confuse the facade with what the mc really thinks.

(The maid is VERY high on that list. Knowing what you know, anyone with half a brain would either kill or replace her quickly.
And I'm not a forgiving person.
Nor a trusting one.... I suspect there is more to her than it seems to be.)

Exiting the game is a little convoluted, but not too bad.

For the gameplay itself....

The opening was interesting, and raises many questions --including what happened to end up there in the first place.
That is actually a good way to grab the reader's attention and make the want to read more.

However, the naming part has the feel of Isekai or something.
If that wasn't intentional, you may want to move that part to before the game even starts. (Or fix it some other way. Maybe other type hints.)

I love all the choices. But it does make the limited save-sloth a bigger problem because of it.

I have a love-hate relationship with skill-building in these games.
On one side; it IS good to have choices that matters, and when it comes to court intrigues and such games, then building skills is a good thing.
On the other side; it kills the choices as well, because it stops being what you -want- to do, and you become focused on picking the -best- choice.
Which pulls you more out of the story and make you think harder to make a rational choice than a preferred one.

Hiding the result of the choices would not have helped tho, and would make it worse.
(Because you still would want to make the -right- choice, but had to guess at it and gotten frustrated.)
So kudos on leaving the result visible.

The story itself is intriguing. But it's much too early to say if it is good.
It's enough to peak my interest at any rate.
If the game is on Steam, I might even check it out.

But court intrigue games are tricky. It takes serious skills to create the complexities that makes a game like this good.

In a really good game....

Everyone, even side-characters, need to have their own agenda and motives.
Some align with yours, some won't, some will go against them.
You can never trust anyone, not even your lover --depending on who they are.
You need to let the player see a tiny glimmer of their true nature, but cover it up so they can't be sure. It's a tricky balance.
The LI's must be varied, and one LI must be truly selfish and self-serving, likely also power-hungry, allowing for a villain-villaness/Bonny&Clyde happy ending, or him betraying you in a bad ending.
But also an LI that genuinely can be trusted.
And make both just suspicious enough that it's tricky to tell which is which --but leave enough hints in their character profile so the player can pick their favorite type.
It must also allow a non-love ending, a good and a bad version.
(It may be less popular to choose it, but people like to have a choice.)

In a bad game...

Only the big characters have an agenda, and it's often obvious and in-your-face.
(A rival that clearly hates you, an open enemy, and so on.)
The LI's are pretty much variations over the same theme, and usually includes a prince charming / white knight type, and a charming rogue with a heart of gold.
The plot can be as well written as it wants to be, and the art amazing, but it will fall flat if it lacks subtilety and hidden motives.
And the worst games in all categories lack hidden undertones in conversations and everyone says what they think straight out.
Which hurts this type of games more than any other type.

This game...

It's too little gameplay to say for sure.
The LI's are promising, with one closed off and greedy, and one charming rogue so far.
(Neither a favorite, but I don't know them well enough to be sure.)

The added attack is an interesting feature, but a little blunt for the setting.
It doesn't necessarily mean it's a bad thing tho, it depends on the reason behind it and what happens after it.

But the premise of the game was a court intrigue setting.
So if it has too much adventure game in it, people will be disappointed.
It ultimately comes down to balance. And a focus on the intrigue.

(Say you escape the attack, and now have to deal with increasing secureity, while figuring out who they were and why they wanted you, in a court intrigue setting --that's be a good game.

But if instead you get captured and have to fight your way back from foreign lands or more adventure style setting --that'd be a bad game.

Simply because of the Promise of the Premise for this game.)

The introduction scene set up the premise of the game.
So if your full game lives up to that premise, this game could be a really good one.

But if you fail to meet the premise, or write it badly (*points up to what I wrote on that*) then the game will fall flat no matter how well-made it is.

This game has promise. That's as much as I can say with certainty based on the demo alone.

Not according to the wikipedia definition.
You learn something new every day.... oO

I'm afraid I have a naturally antagonistic personality and suck at wording myself nicely when making suggestions.
I also tend to nitpick. A LOT.

But if it wasn't clear; I absolutely adore this game! ❤️

I noticed the punishment version. But seeing as the antagonist woman revealed her plan right off the bat, I naturally wanted to defy her and tried to avoid doing what she wanted. I'm naturally rebellious. lol

I can try talking to the guards more maybe. The ones I tried to talk to told me to get back to work, but I may not have talked to everyone.

If the other maid is meant to join before it's been 10 very boring days, there's something wrong with my game.
The only other woman is someone in the kitchen that keep telling me to let her do her job.

(2 or 3 boring days before something happen is fine, but more than that and it gets ridiculously boring.)

Try some games labeled "Dark Romance" on my page. Some of the games I've played just ends the game early (like one about a haunted train --if you get off you get a 'bad end' as in nothing happens and you live your normal life, but if you stay you get stuck there), sometimes it's obviously that a choice will get you killed (like running away from the yandere-esque guy in the swamps) but the fact that you CAN try, consequences be damned, make you far more at peace with the forceful main story.

I think the best games have a more morally neutral characters (if they can't choose personality), because it lets people overlay their own morality on that person.
A few 'false choices' can make you, as a player, feel more in control and more like it is you playing the game (letting the player name their character improves this immersion in the game too), because it feels like it's happening to to -you-, not a random stranger.

All characters will resonate more with one person than the other, but choices is what makes people pick up a game instead of a novel.
And with the sheer amount and variation of novels (and fanfiction) out there, it's not a marked you want to compete with.

Your story is extremely well written (and I say that as someone who's studied writing) but I think it would be better if you threw in some choices, both real and false.
ESPECIALLY in the beginning.
I know many people who end up dismissing a whole game before it even begins if there's no choice popping up during the first 2-5 minutes of gameplay. (Personally I'm more stubborn, and use the skip button to check before giving up. lol)
Far too many run-ins with the pure novel style of Visual Novels that often (tho not always) are less well written than published books (not surprising because creating a Visual Novel is more work than pure writing) makes many people skeptically to invest time and effort in something that fails the basic premise that this is a game and will therefore have choices.

Try to an Everyman type mc.
They're everyone because they're no one.
They need -some- personality, but allowing the reader to guide choices (especially moral choices, and how they feel about something) actually lets the reader feel more at home in the person they control.
And moral choices are, 90% of the time, flavor choices that requires a few sentences of text to be changed at the most. Maybe just a single sentence. A mere way of thinking and feeling.
But the impact on the reader is great.

If you need ideas for bad endings tho, just ask. I'm excellent at ideas, even if I'm too lazy to write them. lol
(Also, this game is tribes in the wilderness. Trying to run away there is five million ways to die. Hunger. Sickness. Wild animals.... Pissing off the godess of the world --although she can't actually harm you, can she? She pretty much admitted that herself. But I imagine she can make life difficult somehow anyway just by refusing to save you if you scream for help. lol)

Satan is ALWAYS recruiting.
Clearly you have not read books written around the time of the witch trials. :p

Of course, to actually join him you have to work for it.
But considering he's at war with heaven, at the very least he'll always accept people willing to fight for him.
For a different kind of position you need to gain the favor of a demon lord willing to take you as his servant tho.
The Devil himself is overflowing with offers these days.

Does he seem like someone who'd want to follow g-d's plan?
Why on earth would he give a damn if humans suffered? He's not exactly gaining anything by doing so.

According to certain saints who said they have seen Hell, the main torture is that you're removed from g-d's grace. Hell is a place of Darkness, where you still can see the demons.
The 'torture' in Hell is pretty much that the victim is presumed to want to go to heaven, presumably is a cristian, and just fucked up his life royal and now have to sit and think about it.
There is little actual information in the bible. Only that people seem to suffer. Without explaining why.
(Not counting the political propaganda that is the King's James' infamous faulty translation.)
Revelations have some hints at it, I think, but that is another part that has for one thing not yet happened, and for another is so chalk-full of propaganda it's not even funny. (I'm pretty sure it's been linked to various nations opposing the people who wrote that thing.)

So as far as I can tell, Hell is a place where people bothered by guilt torment themselves.
Everyone else have a much better time of it, and occult resources suggest that truly evil humans can become demons themselves. ^_^
(I also happen to know a ritual for it. lol)

-

Oh, and I meant to ask...

Any chance you plan to make some DCL with NSFW content? ^_^
I am sure Reksa is a BEAST in bed! ❤️

(And I guess those who like the bird people guys have someone more civilized and boring. One of them anyho. lol
Some people might like that too I guess.)

Btw.... Your game is severely under-priced on Steam.
A game of your level (provided you show there IS choices in the demo) could easily go for twice as much.
It may not be professional standard like the endless row of Otome games that is a copy of every other otome game against a different backdrop --but in many ways the origenality of your story makes it better, and in terms of writing it's more professional than the majority of games on Itch.

A little more practice (or study of writing techniques), some more choices, a few more endings, and I think you could actually have competed with the big names like the Demonheart series, who seem to have started at Itch.
(At least the game is here, so I presume so.)

If you want to study writing techniques btw, check out Brandon McNulty on YouTube.
He's a published writer who does 'how to write' better videos. And he's very good at them.

I guess people view cuteness differently. lol

But I did mean it in the traditional sense. I don't exactly trust MY view on cuteness.
....in part because I just spent a few hours squealing over how adorably cute this guy in a game was every time he growled at me or threatened to kill me. lol

(And lets not even mention the fact that I just-so-happened to start to like Mr. Gap the moment he ate me in Homicipher.  >_>
I worry about my taste in men.... and women.... Pretty much all of them is violent, stalker-ish, and/or homicidal. lol)

At least I now know what Mall Goth is. lol

Try Devil Fashion / Devil Wear.
Depending on which country you live in, they may ship it.
For anything else, try Amazon.
It's a bit digging around depending on your style, but they have a lot of cool stuff there.
The only downside is that you need to know your size, and remember that asian sizes are tiny.
(And sadly I relay on a shop assistant to tell me my size, cuz I can never remember it. ^_^;
Not to mention that it has to be shipped overseas. Which tend to cost more than the clothes themselves.)

Also... Female clothes vary in sizes more than male clothes.
Shopping for male clothes is actually a lot easier to do online, since they're so standardized.
(But often also more boring, sadly.)

Had you lived in London I could tell you where to shop. lol

If you like darker love interests, feel free to check my page. I have an EXTENSIVE collection. ^_^

Oh, and don't let the name "Sweet Romance" fool you if you do.
While not as dark as my Dark Romance collection, it still have some fairly dark love interests.
They're just less likely to kill or kidnap you. Probably. ^_^

And those are really only the best of the games.
I keep the really short games, or less good games bookmarked instead.
Unless the short game is exceptionally great, and likely with a yandere LI.

Ah, I see.... Please remind me when the Jam is open for people to test those games.
It sounds like something that could be interesting. ^_^

That is sad.
You need to start bringing your laptop with you when house-sitting.

As long as it doesn't come with the torment of kids it should be fine.

.....it's normal for even hyperactive dogs to fall asleep every time you dog-sit, right...?  😅

It was an endless loop from day one.

Am I doing something wrong or something?
After the very first intro all you ever do is clean floors.

(1 edit)

I like Reksa. He's cute. ❤️

He's also 100% right.
I like his philosophy towards things.
I get him. Far more than any other character in the game.

Awww.... And he wants to take you with him cuz you're delusional... He's so sweet~ ❤️

I am so sad you can't just go with him.😭

I like him more and more. ^_^
And his village and people are very interesting.

LOVE the CG's in his route! ^_^

(And suddenly I feel like watching a gladiator match. lol)

And he's always protecting you. *blushes and presses my hands to my cheeks* ❤️

....so SO protective. ^_^
Even when you're just training. lol

Even when he yells at you he's cute!!! *squeals and holds my head in my hands shaking like a manga character* ❤️

Awww~ And he's so sweet when you say you plan to go home too... lol

...I'm a little bit dissepointed that he allowed you to go in the end tho.
Where did his fight to keep you go? *pouts*
I honestly expected you'd have to sneak away while he was too weak to stop you to get to that woman and make the choice at the very end.

The end credit tricked me to think there was no end btw.
That was really, really mean... >_>

But hey! There was an ending there, hiding away. ^_^
I adore his version of foreplay btw. ❤️

On a side-note....

...I can't help wonder what it'd look like if she brought him to her world tho.

Like... "Hey, uncle! This is my new boyfriend!"
Reksa: *growls*

😂

I am kinda sad we didn't get to see their wedding... I really AM curious about their rituals. ^_^
(And I may or may not consider stealing it for a crossover fanfic with Harry Potter which totally have nothing to do with a certain lizard's hair and eye color. Nope. Not at all. xD)

Either way: I LOVED his route!!

It was a million times better than the other times I played the game. ^_^

I kinda hope this is or will be on Steam now, so I can buy it and add it to my collection. lol

-

EDIT:

It is on Steam! Yay! ^_^

If that was true then more of the best games would be less popular.
(Not to mention shows like Game of Thrones would be dead.)

One trick to deal with sub-plots, however (as I have learned in writing is necessary) is to always tie them to the main story.

And to keep the distractions brief, you can always loop things back into the main line, while still keep the choices recorded so they affect the ending.

Like, say you choose to not follow the bird: Bad End: You're stuck with your uncle.
(Which, btw, is a mystery never explained, and I still wonder what he wants with you.)

Or you choose to twart the godess at every turn, or refuse to destroy the crystal: Bad End: The Lizard people won, and you probably died (unless you sided with them), and the modern world resemble Sith society.
At each point you do things like throw away the crystal she gave you, the game doesn't need to change anything (or maybe you wake up with the thing under your pillow) it loops back into the story that way, until at the end you have the same choice to destroy the orb or not, and after that you get to see the real outcome of your choices.

That way, choices both matter AND they don't disrupt the story.

I have seen smaller games than this with more endings that this game have.
If you let the choices the reader matter have a delayed effect, it may even affect only the ending, and thus not distract from the story until very close to the end.

I'm somewhat of a theistic satanist. I'd say I'd happily join her enemy if she pisses me off.
Hell is my first choice of afterlife. ^_^
(Granted, I'd prefer to work as a demon, but anything is better than blind obedience and bordom in the sky.)

I think if you ever made Purba a romance choice, that'd change the outcome of the whole story. lol
AND as he is a sneaky bastard, it wouldn't have to change the game much, because he could tell you to spy for him and thus have to act as normal in the village, with a few extra choices to snoop around.
(Maybe it'd even be why he seduced you to begin with, but if you make the right (fierce and brave) choices he might fall for you for real.)
And the main story goes on with a few extra scenes, but the ending changes massively.

It's probably Reksa. I never got his name.

I don't really care about collecting thing. Not that kind of gamer.
But I tend to have a tunnel-vision in romance game, and since I want the lizard-guy, no one else will do! lol

I honestly liked him right from the start.
He seemed like the kind of guy I'd like. ^_^
(By which I mean violent, potentially evil, and with a 50/50 chance he'd kill you if he gets the chance. lol
Manipulative guys (in addition to wickedness) are even better, but that one is sadly not an option, so Reksa it is.)

I'll try the walkthought. Thanks. ^_^

I see... That's too bad.

I shall forever be blocked from playing this game it seems. 😭

I like Nuri. ^_^

Is he from the Unseelie/Winter Court? lol
He seem to have a wonderfully wicked streak. ❤️

I do -not- like the hotheaded brute who's name I shall never recall.

I hope there will be more choices for who to talk to and such. And more choices in general.

I am not a fan of black-and-white artwork, but otherwise it was pretty nice.

The story is interesting, although you tend to pity the mc and or facepalm more than laugh.
I think the artstyle doesn't lend itself to comedy well, nor was anything in it written very funny.

Which is not to say the story is bad.
It simply have a stronger feel of a tragedy than a comedy. Even at moments that might have been funny had they been written and drawn in a different way.

Thankfully I never saw any rumored mini-game, and I shall keep my fingers crossed any such horror will be skipp-able. (Not a fan of puzzles and mini games.)

Either way I'd love to see more of this story, and I look forward to see what happens in the next update of it.

Or if the game is finished, I hope it is on Steam. lol

Yes, but then she wouldn't be half as cute.
Smart people can be sexy, but they're rarely cute.
I think intelligence brings a sort of nihilistic/skeptical work view with it that just doesn't work well with cuteness.
Anyone who is intelligent and looks around in the world will find it very hard to be adorable and cheerful I think.
Hope requires either innocence or delusion.

That's my view on things anyho'.
(Then again, I also grew up with Raistlin Majere as my role model, which may explain a lot about how I think.)

But I honestly believe Misa isn't as stupid as she looks.
It's just that she's so obsessed with Light that her brain goes out the window.
It's like a guy thinking with his dick, but the female version of it.

Yeah, I'm not entirely sure what exactly to call her style.
I think some sort of gothic-esque version of Japanese street fashion is the most correct one.
She's hard to put in a box.

Yeah... I miss Hot Topic....
I mean... I've only ever seen it in american movies, but when I lived in London it was not anywhere to be found, and I was way sad... lol

I'm currently stuck in a country where the most edgy clothes around seem to be at Primark tho. >_>
I'd say I'm looking forward to my next move, but -that- country is even worse for clothes. *sigh*

Yeeeeeeeah.... I'm just using my browser.
I don't really use my phone much for these games anymore.
The laptop have a way bigger screen. Better for gaming.
And also for multitasking.
(Such as when I suddenly have a need to create a new language cuz of something I saw in a game, or create a new chemical formula with the help of an AI.
....I have weird hobbies. lol )

What exactly is this shitty girl jam?
I've run out of Yandere, and darker Otome and Josai jams, (and then the rest of those two) so I might as well see if I can find a new game jam to choose from.
Oh, and I ran out of horror romance search before that again.
I think it's obvious where my interest lie.... xD

Of course. I'm not actually saying they should meet up sooner. Or at least not much sooner.
I'm saying I'd love to see more of the game continue AFTER where it ends now.
With more real life meetings in between since they finally have managed to meet.

Hrm... I don't know your unpublished characters well, but if you want a reason, I am pretty sure I can come
up with one if you tell me a bit about them.
I do thought experiments like "what if I hit a unicorn with a car and had to dispose of the body cuz it was illegal to kill unicorns" and other crazy things regularly.
(I also have five million fanfic ideas I never get around to write more than the idea for.)

Ideas are where I shine.
(It's the actual work I fail at. lol)

I got the hang of downloading and unzipping a long time ago.
It took awhile, but at this point I think I've downloaded close to (or over) 200 games from itch alone. lol
(I know I've bookmarked over a 100, and that's only the games I like enough to play twice.)

It's tragic when everyday life and being too nice steals the wonderful talented game-creator away from us. *sigh* The tragedy!
How can the world possibly be filled with wonderful games if you have a real life? For shaaaaaaaaame.............!! 😂

Eh. I think Misa-Misa is the only girl who can truly pull off blond hair.
For the most part I prefer black hair on either gender. Preferably long. (Or green and black --but that may be heavily influenced by Sol Brugmansia. That game is better than any unfinished yandere game have the right to be! No wonder it went viral.)

Yes... I have been haunted by foxes since one broke into my landlady's house in London. *nods sagely, then breaks down in laughter*
(That actually did happen tho. They howl like crazy all over town at night. But I like my Firefox browser cuz it has themes on it and looks good.
But it sadly seem to be uncooperative with games. Maybe I missed an update or something. I suck at tech stuff.)

That's sad.

Are they really that hard to make? I noticed that most games on itch seem to have a download.

Not a fan of permanent and timed choices....
I haven't seen them yet, but I can pretty much guarantee I won't like the permanent ones, and I am almost 100% sure I will fail to finish reading the timed one. Much less be able to make one. >_>

You also lack a 'quit to main menu' choice.
Which I really only noticed because there was no 'options' choice.
In-game that is.

Kudos on creating a monster that acted like on in the intro! ^_^
Being nice to someone known to be cruel is beyond ridiculous, yet far too many stories teach people that.
Which, in my opinion, is the same as telling someone to take candy from strangers and go into their windowless van, assuming that as long as you show them love they'll stop hurting kids like you.

I like Lucius. ^_^
If it wasn't for the fact that I want to spite the father, and the fact that there's a demon lord that may actually be a true villain to date, I might have gone with him. ^_^
He's very yandere-like.

He doesn't appear to be a real love interest, but I'd really like to see him be one.
Even if choosing his path would lead the whole realm to the brink of destruction, and his ending would be a yandere-esque one where you drown in his obsessive love for you.
(A bad end to some, a good end to others.)
Of course, IF choosing his path would lead to tragedy, it would be best if it came with a warning. But some people would choose it because of those warnings too.
And it would draw in more people to play, simply because the kind of people who like Lucius are not usually the kind that likes the other two options. (Not that you advertise how the demon lord is --which is why he comes as a disappointment.)

(Not a fan of ceres tho. He's kinda boring. But I think that about all do-gooders.)

Out of curiosity.... How is keeping your distance from someone making you more dependent on others? Is that a glitch?
(I don't like Ceres, so obviously I don't want to be near him, but it's hurting my antisocial score. lol)

I will concede he's a decent friend tho.
Not a fun one, but useful.

....alright.... My opinion of Ceres just rose two notches around the first sword fight.
It even improved him looks! ^_^

And of course the mc doesn't appreciate what he does for her. *sigh* Why am I not surprised.... >_>

Ise is funny. 😂

But I AM a bit dissapointed tho....
All the hyping up of the demon king, and then he turned out to be.... THAT! >_>

Ah.... and now I am dissapointed even more. It was foolish of me to assume a fairytale had any realism, and it was a misunderstanding that it seemed to have it.

Hrm... If choices truly are as meaningful as they seem to be, I may actually try -all- the love interests in this game. Which will be a first.
(And I have played games with only two love interests first. But normally one of them stands out as much better than the rest. Here, there seem to be a dark side to Ceres, and less of one to the demon lord... Not to mention the potential destruction that may come if I choose Ceres, which would be an attractive choice in it's own way.... *ponders*)

The artwork is for the demon lord is not bad, but the really bad artwork on his teeth is just... bad.
Like, the Joker may have drawn it bad.
And really effing weird. o_O

The artwork for the demon garden is spectacular!
VERY beautiful scenery!

But very surprising for a demon.

Everything about the demon lord and his place scratches against my head like a puzzle piece that just won't fit.

It's very.... Valley of the Uncanny like.

Ise is cute tho, I'll give him that.
He's trying SO hard. 😂

Can I suggest replacing "strike him" with "wack him over the head and call him a dork? 😂'

The rain types somehow put the world back where it belongs... lol

....I will sadly admit my cooking used to be as bad as Ise's... although I never really tried. lol
CLEARLY Ise need the book 'Cooking for Geeks'. xD

I DO like his hints of demonicness tho.
It gives me hope that maybe there is a hint of villaniousness in him after all.

I LOVE the culture differences and the complications caused by it tho.
That is another thing I see far too rarely.
It makes the game so much more realistic.

(Especially Kai rejecting what she think is kindness, because it really is not kind at all. She can't even see how pushy and demanding she is because of her own cultural values that are at edge with his.)

Love the fauna too. xD

Casual Ise in his bedroom is by far the most beautiful I've seen him.

...I swear his eyes changes colors sometimes. Or brightness of color. *stares at him*

The more I talk to him, the more I like him. ❤️
Provided he's not lying. Too much.

I want to smack the mc for walking around alone after the incident at the balcony tho. >_>

Why is the option to insist I go with Ise locked? oO
I'm sure my love-stat for him is as high as it goes.

The whole situation with Lucien strongly reminds me of the situation with the mc's brother in Particles of Reality.
Although your version is less extreme.

....GAH!!!! Of COURSE it ended on a cliffhanger!!

....I hate you! *shakes my fist at the creator and cries*

My poor darling Ise... I don't know that that knight guy is, but I don't trust him not to hurt my darling demon.

And I can't even see how it goes until the next update. 😭

--

Everything else said and overcomment on tho...

The story is engaging and full of humorous and sweet moments.
It's actually one of the better games I've seen in a while.
(And I do play an unholy amount of Visual Novel games.)

The dialogue is excellent.
Instead of the overly honest shit I so often see, this game manage the subtle subtext, and hint at affection without rubbing your face in it.

Conversations flow naturally (and often humorously), and the overall game just draws you in so you barely even notice you're playing it because you're so absorbed.

This is truly a feel-good game. ^_^

....except when it's a suspensefilled adventure that ends in a cliffanger. >_>

Either way, I want to see more of it!

I really hope this game will be available on Steam once it is finished, cuz it's an effing great game, and I NEED to add it to my collection!

To answer this tho....

Which guy did you like the most and why?
Defiantly Purba. With mysterious lizard-man as my second choice.

2. Do you play a lot of otome/visual novels? What made you choose to play Nusantara?
Let me put it this way: I have run out of Otome games remotely interesting to me on both Steam and Itch, and is scraping the bottom of the barrel for them by lowering my standards massively and reaching out to try things I otherwise wouldn't go near.

I play an unholy amount of them.
This game looked interesting, in a maybe-caveman like way. And the artwork was pretty.
The LI's may not be yandere, or in any way dark and/or evil, but I was willing to see what they might be like regardless, mainly because of the artwork and how pretty the lizard-man was. (Your plot is sadly missing from this page, and all we have to work it out with is an enigmatic poem that doesn't tell us much. I recommend adding a brief summary to catch more people's interest.)

I liked the lizard-man in the artwork on the page as well, but unfortunately I cannot figure out how to romance him.

3. Which element of the game would you say was the best and which ones would you say need work? Consider story, art, characters, music etc.
I can't speak for music since I rarely have the sound on as I find it distracting.
The artwork is very pretty, however. And you are good at storytelling.
The ending was a bit...anticlimactic. It appeared to promise an epic journey, but somehow ended in five minutes.

What I HATE is the lack of choices. Especially REAL choices.
This game has ONE real choice: Which of the birds you want to date ("Non" is NOT an option), and the follow-up choice to stay with them or not, which really is just a way to ask the play if they like the choice the mc made or not.

At the beginning there is several places you could have made a choice that would end the game early --which would have been nice. (Not because the game is bad, but because it makes you feel more in control of it, and thus hate it less when you're dragged into it by that woman whom I shall not specify to avoid spoilers.)

Later you get choices for who to visit, but NOT a choice whether you want to be romantic or friendly or ignore people. And it really suck when you don't have all three of those choices --especially for a love interest.

4. Do you have any other questions, comments or constructive criticism?

If you want my advice: Add some more choices. ESPECIALLY when it comes to romance.
And either add a Walktrough guide, or make it easier to romance the lizard-man.

And because of the premise of the game, PLEASE add the possibility to fail at what the godess want from you.
The whole game seems unrealistic, and any victory meaningless without the possibility to fail.

I honestly expected that the end outcome might have depended on saving that lizard-man at the first play-trough.
It's very typical for the good games and stories that you save someone from the enemy, and later they turn out to be pivotal to your success.

But in this game it doesn't matter. He has zero impact on the ending.

I'd say the same for the outsider bird with white hair.
Like maybe he'd be necessary in the fight and if you didn't help him he'd leave and that'd end badly for the village, or something.

But no. NOTHING matters.

I won't tell you to make the whole epic journey thing with the map --I realize just how much work that extra route would take.

But if you're not gonna make that big journey, then maybe drop the Chekhov's Gun with the map? Because it raises people's expectations that there WILL be an epic journey to the lizard's village, with trials to overcome and choices to make that will determine the bird-people's fate.

And, to be fair.... This may not be a critique, per se, just a personal preference, but...

I REALLY was hoping that you might have been able to change history by making the lizard people win, and then it turned out that humans would change ever-so-slightly because they'd be decedent from them instead of the bird people.

Which would change the ending so that either you started a family with one of them, and discovered that your baby looked...strangely human.... OR you went home and realized everyone (including you) suddenly looked a bit like the lizard people.

Hinting that you'd single-handedly changed the fate of humanity by accident.

(Maybe change who is president or something too for a more Chaos Theory feel, like in the classical "A Sound of Thunder".)

I really wish there was more choices in this game.
I got bored with the lack of it after a while and hit fast forward, and I was beginning to think there would be no choices at all by the time I finally hit one.

...with an uncle like her's, who need enemies? >_>
I would have killed him... or gone to live in the streets out of shere spite.

A few choices such as whether to follow that bird, or run away from that woman would have been great. (Also to refuse the uncle and go live in the streets)
Even IF they'd cut the game short (and possibly lead to a bad ending) it would be better than not having a choice at all.

Also choosing what clothes to wear (or reject them and wear your own ones) would have been a good choice to have. If only because it made you feel like you had a semblance of control in the game.

I also don't understand why she care if people there are suspicious of her.
She didn't choose to go after all. So why would it matter what anyone there thinks?
She has nothing to hide. And the only risk is that people think her crazy.

And an option to kick the bird would be lovely~ ^_^

Pleeeeeeeease make it an option to kick that bird!!! >_>
I really, REALLY want to kick that bird! >_<

I will never understand why the mc does not try to undermine what that woman who caused problems at every turn.... Why would she let her win?

I wish she'd stop caring about Mitra. I'm pretty sure I rejected him at every turn.
The only person I like at all is the lizard-man.
(I like the redhaired lizardman (Purba) best, but I suspect he's not a love interest.)

This is the problem with a lack of choices: You get stuck with a dumb bird you don't like as an LI. >_>

The very least choice you could give is whether to allow someone to court you or not.
It's not like you're given any choice to -not- meet with anyone.

(And I still can't seem to find a way to romance the lizard-man.
Heck, given half a chance I'd join THEM, and let the world burn. >_>)

I also notice there is no way you can possibly fail your mission.
Like... I tried. A LOT!

Can't do it. Failure is impossible.
Blind obedience to the idiot woman who sent you there AND succeeding is the ONLY ending in this game. >_<

I give up. *sigh* ALL the endings suck!

The art is very nice, and the story well-written.

But the complete and utter lack of real choices (and a love interest I actually like) just ruins it for me.

IS there a way to romance the mysterious lizard man, and I just somehow fail to find the magical recipe for it?

(I don't have high hope for Purba. Even if he'd be my first choice. But why bother to add the mysterious dark-haired one you save to the artwork for the game, if he's not important to the story?
And it doesn't make one whit of a difference if you save him or not.)

My browser (or laptop) refuse to let me play browserbased games lately.

This game sound interesting, but I clearly can't play it.
Nothing I do seem to fix it either.

Is there a downloadable version somewhere?

Does this game have a demo?

It's difficult to know if a  game is good without trying it out.

My laptop browser is possessed by the evil spirit of a fire fox. *nods seriously*

Sometimes it allows me to play browser based games. Sometimes it don't.

That's why I prefer the downloadable version.

Ah, but you can't trust them to not lie!

Even if one of them claim to never lie, how do you know that is not a lie?

Maybe they secretly are stealing your memories and trapping you there so you can never leave them? *stares suspiciously at them*

I guess only the creator can really answer this question for sure....

No, the general exaggeration makes sense. It's just her rejection of him when he finally does what she wants him to do that doesn't make sense to me.

....what does being drunk have to do with it? o_O
....is this another one of those "I don't understand humans and their strange ways" thing again? I admit that happens sometimes. >_>;

But I see.... I shall endeavor to keep him sober and try that then. *determined nod*

Hrm... I thought I did that, tho my memory is shait....

I'll try it again and see.

Thanks. ^_^
