Hello, this is Mari writing this week. It is July! I can't believe that it is already halfway through 2019! In July, Ichiroya staff take annual medical check up. Some of you may remember my newsletter which I reported my check up last year. It will be my turn on Thursday, July 11. YES, it's coming! I haven't drunk, eaten deep flied food and sweets for about 3 weeks by now. Then, I go to gym almost everyday. I'm afraid to see bad result at the end of my check up. Wish my luck!

There is such a romantic story behind the festival. We believe the myth which is the princess and her lover can see each other in the sky once a year, on July 7th, if it is clear weather in the night. According to weather forcast, there is a 50% chance of rain tonight. We are crossing our fingers for them!
For Tanabata festival, we decorate bamboo with Origami and "Tanzaku" strip of papers. We write down our wishes on the strip of papers. My sons used to write their wishes on the strip of papers and hang on bamboo. Their wishes were always same. "I want to be a power ranger when I grow up!" How cute! There are Tanabata festivals here and there in Japan. We often wear Yukata, summer casual cotton kimono, when we go to those summer festival.
Kids wear Yukata, too.
I know that Yoko also introduced Yukata last week. However, I just wanted to introduce some other Yukata for family! We have some mother and daughter yukata set! It must be super fashionable to wear the same pattern yukata with your daughters!

If you have older daughters, we have matching pattern yukata for them. 7 to 8 y.o

It is unisex. So, your sons and daughters may wear the same pattern Jinbei in this summer!
