UK Dance Team Training Clinic Registration
Interested in becoming a University of Kentucky Dancer?
If so, make plans to attend our UK Dance Team Training Clinic on Dec. 16th at the University of Kentucky. Registration closes 12/14 at midnight.
This will be open to 8th grade through college students who want to know what it takes to become a collegiate dancer. A hip-hop dance will be taught, the actual UK “tryout” fight song will be taught and tryout skills will be reviewed. University of Kentucky Dance Team tryout and team information will be discussed, along with any other questions you may have during the Q&A session. (Parents are welcome to sit in) We will also be giving out “videotape by-passes” to the top dancers at this clinic. This means you would not have to submit a video tape as the first step of tryouts, but you would automatically be invited to the in-person tryout in May 2023. Signings to the UKDT by the coaches may also be made.
The University of Kentucky Dance Team is composed of two teams. The Blue Team performs at home football games and home men’s basketball games. The White Team performs at home football games and home women’s basketball games. We placed 6th in the nation in the UDA Hip Hop Div. 1A. And 5th in the nation in the Game Day division. In 2017, we were chosen to represent the USA in the ICU World Championship where we brought home Silver medals in both the Hip hop and Pom categories.
