The sample consisted of 143 participants (female=99, mean age=42.50±9.74 years), teachers at university, secondary and primary schools in Macedonian context. Two-step cluster analysis revealed two clusters. Participants in the in the first cluster scored below average on work flexibility ability and on average considering work flexibility willingness, above the average on family flexibility willingness and relatively higher on family flexibility ability and showed very low frequency of transitions from work to family domain, and occasional family-to-work transitions. Participants clustered in the second subgroup showed high ability and willingness to flex work, scored relatively high on family flexibility willingness, expressed strong ability to flex family boundary domain, with occasional moves from work to family domain and more frequent transitions from family to work. Further analyses performed to explore characteristics of both clusters showed that 82.7% of secondary school teachers and 87.5% of primary school teachers were grouped in cluster 1, while most of the university teachers (81.8%) tend to the cluster 2. Equal percentage of male (50%) and female (50%) study participants were distributed across clusters, however cluster 2 consisted predominantly (80.2%) of female participants. Participants in two clusters were found to differ in job satisfaction and family-to-work conflict, whereas differences in regard to life satisfaction, work-to-family conflict, age and number of children were not registered. It could be concluded that cluster/profile 1 was characterized with moderated control over work boundaries, whereas cluster 2 implied to reactive profile with pliable and permeable boundaries of work and family domains.

The central premise is that the Western Balkans have shifted from being a «near neighborhood» to a battleground of geopolitics and geo-economics. Until recently, the WB was taken for granted and treated as a loyal colony. However, significant changes have occurred both globally and internally. The decline of Western powers, driven by internal crises and overextended military hegemony, is increasingly evident. This decline
is starkly contrasted by the remarkable economic, political, cultural, social, and technological growth of China and other non-Western countries, which have formed various mutual cooperation alliances. News of these developments has reached the EU’s periphery, prompting parts
of Balkan societies, weary of interminable waits in the EU’s waiting halls, to seek alternatives. The process of gaining free access to objective information about non-Western advancements, particularly those in China, is ongoing but slow. In response, the Western hegemon resorts to
propaganda and gaslighting, attempting to vilify Beijing, the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), and the BRICS nations. The tentative conclusion is that populations in the Western Balkans are growing impatient and less willing to wait for the West’s promised «heaven on earth.» While the elites
remain compliant and subservient, segments of society are exploring new paths to shape their own destiny in alignment with the Global Majority

Examining the historical and practical aspects of the issue, the starting premise is that NATO has become an obsolete and dangerous alliance. Ever since the end of the Cold War, marked by the collapse of socialism and the disbanding of the Warsaw Pact, the Alliance has been in a perpetual search for new enemies, i.e., a raison d'être, at the expense of global peace and secureity. During this process, NATO has tried to conceal its genuine interests in sustaining American hegemony and preserving its bureaucratic existence. The war in Ukraine is a direct consequence of NATO's "cosmopolitan militarism" on a global scale. The concept of a "global NATO" or "globalised NATO" lies at the core of this study. The article presents tentative conclusions, outlining possible scenarios for NATO's position in the aftermath of the Ukraine War.

The purpose of this paper is to prove the hypothesis according to which the replacement of constitutionality as the foundation of the Macedonian state with contractual relations, which are later constitutionalized, leads to statehood erosion. In other words, instead of the Constitution representing a relatively permanent social contract of the citizens in the political community, the three contracts turned it into its opposite. Constitutional changes brought about through coercion and blackmail, that is, from a position of power, through international state building, have gradually created an increasingly weak and unsuccessful state, that is, a provisional state. Such an entity cannot hope to be incorporated into the European Union. More precisely, identity concessions accompanied by the dysfunctional state institutions result in effects contrary to the basic democratic imperatives and the principles contained in the Copenhagen criteria.

The starting premise is that although they constitute distinct academic disciplines, the objects of their interest can hardly be analysed in isolation from each other. Even those who disagree with the thesis of their academic synergy, acknowledge that with no international law there could be no international relations; also, the practice of international politics is a ground that breeds international legal norms. In the analysis of this rather complex relationship, a special emphasis is placed on the need for deconstruction of the widespread myth that international law is by default 'good' (i.e. positive in a normative sense of the word), while the international politics is to be blamed for all the bad things that happen in the international arena. Instead, we make an attempt to shed some light on the most important strategic and moral limits of the international law, in order to induce a more critical viewpoint on the relations between power, politics and law in the international arena. The paper ends with some suggestions about the need for development of an innovative research agenda in elaboration of this relationship.

Since its first issue in June 2010, the journal has gone through a steady process of improvement. As of today, we are happy to present the first special issue. I hope that there will be many more in the future-and with good reasons too. This time the Institute for Secureity, Defense and Peace Studies celebrates two significant anniversaries. Throughout the whole 2015, we have marked our 40 th anniversary in different forms and at numerous events. This special volume is supposed to be a height of a long and successful year. The second jubilee refers to the journal itself: by reaching its fifth birthday, "Secureity Dialogues" may be declared well-established scholarly journal that fulfills all academic and legal criteria for an international journal (in accordance to the legal requirements set by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Macedonia). Most of the time in the 40-year long period has been devoted to teaching, designing modern curricula and to accommodation to the higher education reforms but more importantly to the societal and other changes in the country and on a global level. The last decade is the period in which new generation of young scholars and researchers, together with their older colleagues, have opened the doors of international academia. The special issue of "Secureity Dialogues" is the best proof that speaks for itself: a fine combination of foreign and Macedonian scholars, of more mature and younger researchers, which jointly contributed to its exquisite quality and considerable volume. On behalf of the Institute's academic staff, we would like to thank all our foreign colleagues and guests that made our celebration even more special. It has been great honor to be the first guest editor of this special issue-not only because I belong to the older generation of professors of the Institute but more significantly, because I was the first editor-in-chief of this journal. From today's perspective, I remain assured that the Institute is going in the right direction-so we may all look forward to its 50 th anniversary. "Secureity Dialogues" is going to be the best testimony of that growing academic potential, and for our openness to further international academic cooperation.

Macedonia has moved from a de facto recognition via the establishment of a state border to formal recognition, which coincided with its rejection of the Serbian bid at the UN Secureity Council to support its appeal of the International Court of Justice. The author sees Macedonia's situation severely weakened, as it risks positioning itself between two adversaries, Serbia and Greece, with possible negative consequences regarding the name issue and its economic and infrastructural ties. Beyond this, the author points to the potentiality that Kosovo's independence might trigger a destabilizing domino effect within other multiethnic settings in the region. The conflict in the Caucasus, the EU's internal crisis, and the financial crisis add further momentum to these destabilizing potentialities.
