I have used Credit Karma for years to monitor my credit and thought the scores were accurate. According to Credit Karma, between May 3, 2024, and May 12, 2024, a collection was added to my file which they claim was reported through Equifax. I have no accounts in collection and never had an account with the company they claim I owe money to. When I contacted the collection company and the alleged creditor, they both told me they couldn't find any account in my name. When I contacted Credit Karma, they told me to dispute the collection with Equifax. When I called Equifax, they stated that I have no accounts in collection and my score has not changed. So, there is nothing to dispute with Equifax. No one can tell me where this fraudulent information came from. This is very frustrating and disappointing. I used to recommend Credit Karma to friends and family members. After this experience, I would never recommend Credit Karma for anything.
