Welcome to Writing, Rhetoric, and Digital Studies (WRD)! We offer an exciting major that combines written, visual, and digital communication skills designed for a variety of employment opportunities in entertainment, writing for a variety of industries (health, food, alcohol, sports, etc.), web-based work, technical writing, social media, government, non-profit work, law, content management, publishing, editing, grant writing, and much more!
WRD's faculty is highly accomplished and dedicated to teaching and scholarship. We offer students research scholarship opportunities, internships with major companies and local companies, one-on-one contact and work with faculty, and a variety of courses - from comics to rhetoric to social media to advocacy to video games and more!
