Religion has shaped societies, influenced elections, impacted health and medical care, and even moved militaries around the globe. It’s impossible to fully understand the world without some knowledge of the religious beliefs, rituals, and organizations that have contributed to human history and shaped cultures. At Boston University, religious scholars study all those things in an effort to better understand the past and to make sense of the world around us today.
