FAO Regional Desert Locust Commissions
CLCPRO - Commission for Controlling the Desert Locust in the Western Region
The FAO commission for Controlling the Desert Locust in the Western Region (CLCPRO) includes 10 member countries from West and Northwest Africa: Algeria, Burkina Faso, Chad, Libya, Mali, Mauritania, Morocco, Niger, Senegal and Tunisia.
CRC - Commission for Controlling the Desert locust in the Central Region
The FAO Commission for Controlling the Desert Locust in the Central Region (CRC) includes 17 member countries: Bahrain, Djibouti, Egypt, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, the UAE and Yemen. The CRC also collaborates with the Desert Locust Control Organization for Eastern Africa (DLCO-EA).
SWAC - Commission for Controlling the Desert Locust in Southwest Asia
The FAO Commission for Controlling the Desert Locust in South-West Asia (SWAC) is FAO's oldest regional locust commission and has 4 member countries: Afghanistan, India, Iran and Pakistan.
