Abeer Sikder
Abeer Sikder (he/they) is a proud Kentuckian, Bengali American, dog guardian, former educator, and lifelong learner. He is passionate about leadership development and empowering others.
Abeer is the creator and host of the Local Global Leaders podcast and a Community Advisor for WUKY. He engages in non-profit work and serves his community on the Board of Directors for the Unitarian Universalist Church of Lexington, as Finance/Advancement Co-Chair for New Leaders Council Kentucky, and as a member of the Access Lexington Commission.
Previously, Abeer served in Teach For America as a Math Teacher in Memphis, Tennessee. He earned a Juris Doctor from George Washington University Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Louisville.
