The University of Kentucky Center for Poverty Research (UKCPR) is a nonpartisan, nonprofit academic research center housed in the Gatton College of Business and Economics. Established in 2002, the Center’s research informs evidence-based policy on the causes, consequences, and correlates of poverty and inequality in the United States.

Von Allmen Center for Entrepreneurship

The Von Allmen Center for Entrepreneurship and Lexington Innovation and Commercialization Center accelerates the Kentucky economy by commercializing UK research, facilitating university-industry collaborations, and assisting entrepreneurs and small businesses in creating jobs. We work with faculty, clinicians, staff, and student innovators to create start-ups and spinoff companies.

Kentucky Research Data Center

The Kentucky Research Data Center (KRDC) is a collaboration between the University of Kentucky and the U.S. Census Bureau established by a grant from the National Science Foundation in 2016. KRDC is part of the nationwide system of Federal Statistical Research Data Centers whose mission is to expand the data infrastructure available to qualified scholars and students with approved projects by providing access to restricted individual- and firm-level data from participating federal statistical agencies. KRDC is maintained by a regional consortium of leading research institutions, including the University of Kentucky, Indiana University, The Ohio State University, the University of Cincinnati, and the University of Louisville. The lab is located on the University of Kentucky campus in the Gatton College of Business and Economics Building.
