Out at Emory
Through a series of focus groups and a survey, the Office of LGBT Life learned that many of our students did not know any LGBTQ-identified faculty and staff – or so they thought. After a campus-wide survey about LGBTQ issues, we also learned through several problematic responses that many were unaware of Emory’s commitment to the LGBTQ community. In response to these problems, the Out@Emory campaign was born.
The campaign allows LGBTQ faculty, staff, students, and alumni greater visibility on campus, which is a major focus of the Office of LGBT Life due to the invisibility of so many of our identities. Below you will find the many people at Emory who identify along a spectrum of sexual and gender identities. We hope the list will continue to grow as more faculty, staff, students, and alumni choose to participate in the program.
