2000年６月の衆議院選挙の時、国会議事堂の写真が必要になった。 ネットで探してみたが、フリーで使える写真が見つからない。壁紙やボタンのフリー素材は星の数ほどあるが、有名建築物やビルなどのフリー写真はないようなのである。 それなら、趣味のサイクリングで東京中を走り回り、ついでに写真を撮り公開すれば、きっと多くの人に役立つ写真素材集になるのではないかと思った。すぐに行動を開始し、デジカメをバッグにサイクリングに出かける……。 よく見かける観光案内にはないような写真も撮れた。だから、ひと通りご覧いただければ、東京を旅行したような気分も味わえるかもしれない。また、ホームページ用のちょっとした写真素材にもなるだろう。 東京は狭いようで広い。これからも体力の続く限り、足で取材。コンテンツの充実に努めようと思っている。
