The following is a list of thesis defences taking place between Monday, Jan. 27 and Friday, Jan. 31.

Master of Arts in Applied Health Sciences (Community Health) thesis defence

Mahdiyeh Gholami, a Master of ​Arts in Applied Health Sciences candidate, will defend the thesis “Coping with Cardiotoxicity-induced Heart Failure Post Chemotherapy — A Qualitative study using interpretive description” on Friday, Jan. 31 from 9 a.m. to noon in WC 204.

Master of Arts in Psychology thesis defence    

Hayley Hicks, a Master of Arts in Psychology candidate, will defend the thesis “The Weak Spot: Psychopathic Traits and Environmental Cues for Exploitation” on Monday, Jan. 27 from 1 to 3 p.m. in PLZ 600F.

Master of Sustainability thesis defence  

Zaara Momin, a Master of Sustainability candidate, will defend the thesis “Empathy and Self-efficacy Contributions to Water Resilience and the Role of a Serious Game” on Tuesday, Jan. 28 from 10 a.m. to noon in virtual format.

Master of Arts in Applied Disability Studies thesis defence  

Taylor McNeely, a Master of Arts in Applied Disability Studies candidate, will defend the thesis “Enhancing Quality in BCBA Supervision for Supervisors and Supervisees: Evaluating a Standardized Supervision Curriculum” on Tuesday, Jan. 28 from 10 a.m. to noon in virtual format.

Master of Arts in Geography thesis defence      

Isha Kaur Goel, a Master of Arts in Geography candidate, will defend the thesis “Organically Developed Neighbourhoods in Asia: Lessons for Modern Urban Planning Neighbourhood Design in Canada” on Wednesday, Jan. 29 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in virtual format.

Kristin Grant, a Master of Arts in Applied Disability candidate, will defend the thesis “Exploring the Effect of 1:1 Acceptance and Commitment Training Sessions on Staff Engagement in Committed Actions using Ecological Momentary Assessment” on Thursday, Jan. 30 at 2 p.m. in virtual format.

Ben Johnson, a Master of Arts in Child and Youth Studies candidate, will defend the thesis “Exploring the Relationships Between Executive Functions and Reading Intervention Responsiveness in Children with Reading Disability” on Friday, Jan. 31 from 1:30 to 4 p.m. in PLZ 600 F.
