Hebrew: שׁוּעָל —transliteration: Shuw'al —meaning: fox

This is the name of a place and a man.

  1. Shual, a district in the tribe of Benjamin (1 Samuel 13:17)

It is possibly the same as Shalim (9:4), in the neighborhood of Shaalabbin (Joshua 19:42).

He is mentioned in the book of Chronicles.

The sons of Zophah were Suah, Harnepher, Shual, Beri, and Imrah, Bezer, Hod, Shamma, Shilshah, Ithran, and Beera. —1 Chronicles 7:36-37
