Healed 1 year vs fresh Healed: studio light, no touchups, no playing with cameras, no moisturiser, tan from summer and scars from being a mechanic - tattoo is lived in! Fresh: photo taken with polarised filters (to reduce glare and make the blacks look deeper) This one was pinned on my page for ages and finally saw it healed recently so wanted to share this comparison! Fresh vs healed. I did the tattoo about a year ago on the left the healed photo on the right was taken about 10 months afterwards. One sitting. No touch ups.

“Tattoos are permanent. What are you going to do with them when you’re older?” Probably every tattooed person has heard this question at some point in their inked life. Or maybe you’re the person usually asking this question, and you’re here out of curiosity about how aged tattoos actually look. It’s a legitimate question, just slightly annoying because we tattooed people know perfectly well that our designs will stay with us forever — tattoo laser removal excluded.
