This is really my favorite teapot! I was really working to get the feeling of that round fiestaware teapot in this painting. The turquoise of the teapot and rich cadmium yellow plate, are nice complements to each other in this composition. I'm using neutral grays to balance and bring out the contrast between the bright colors and the neutrals.
