Research and Evaluation

Level 5 Training Evaluation

The Level 5 evaluation project examines the return on investment within training programs. In child welfare, the Level 5 evaluation is used to combine training evaluation results, data on employee turnover, reasons for terminating employment and cost of the training.

The data used in the evaluation will include: (1) background information on the employees, (2) the post-evaluation results that capture transfer of learning, (3) the six-month evaluation that captures work while on the job post-training, (4) the case review process to assess outcomes and performance (in the context of a system), (5) the link to the GPS Practice Model and usage, and (6) the cost of training considering turnover.

Using Grounded Theory to Explore Well-Being Outcomes of Adults with Repeat Maltreatment

This project is a small-sample study using grounded theory to assess the well-being outcomes of adults with repeat maltreatment. Using data from existing literature, we will develop a coding structure to focus on type of maltreatment, social indicators, and services provided.
