"Right-wing conspiracy theories"?!
editWikipedia having a normal one... so the first paragraph claims "RiGhT-wInG cOnSpIrAcY tHeOrIeS" connected her with the Iranian regime, and then the second paragraph states "in September 2023, a large cache of Iranian government correspondence and emails connected Ariane with senior Iranian Foreign Ministry officials to bolster Tehran's image and positions on global security issues, particularly its nuclear program". I guess the difference between "cOnSpIrAcY tHeOrIeS" and facts is just a few months. Brilliant. 139.68.209.96 (talk) 16:51, 28 September 2023 (UTC)
- Looks like she is a spy for a terrorist backing country. See the following:High-Level Iranian Spy Ring Busted in Washington
- The trail that leads from Tehran to D.C. passes directly through the offices of Robert Malley and the International Crisis Group

- Yeah, I think those "right wing conspiracy theories" have been pretty much confirmed.

BLP applies here
editA reminder that BLP applies, Wikipedia is not a newspaper, and we can afford to wait to see if anything more than fringe sources with anonymous accounts discuss these claims. NorthBySouthBaranof (talk) 15:14, 22 October 2024 (UTC)
- Noting that the current last paragraph cites a source that says the opposite of what the paragraph is claiming.
While serving as the Chief of Staff for the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Special Operations, Ariane Tabatabai became the subject of an FBI investigation in October 2024. The investigation centers around allegations that Tabatabai was involved in leaking highly classified U.S. intelligence documents. These documents, marked as top secret, reportedly surfaced on an Iranian-affiliated Telegram channel and detailed Israel's potential plans for retaliation against Iran.
- Versus
An Iran International Investigation found Tabatabai was part of an official Iranian influence network in Washington DC advocating for Tehran and its policy goals. There has been no evidence connecting Tabatabai to the release of classified documents.
- Claiming somebody is under criminal investigation when they're not is attack page territory.

- Especially egregious because "Iran International" is already WP:RS on a BLP page Phoel17 (talk) 18:52, 22 October 2024 (UTC)
- I provided four sources and removed the CNs. See what you think, if they are adequate. It is not my understanding that she was the subject of an FBI investigation in October 2024. Rather, Blackburn wanted a check of her security clearance in October 2023, which she received, and Joni Ernst was then told that there wasn't any cause for concern. I'm not claiming that that is correct (no cause for concern but what I claim or think is irrelevant for Wikipedia) but sources that I provided today, 22 Oct 2024, and that were in the article before, do not indicate that the Biden administration has any concerns.--FeralOink (talk) 01:31, 23 October 2024 (UTC)
