I've moved carbon fiber to carbon (fiber). The reason is the overwhelming number of uses of "carbon fiber" to mean carbon fiber reinforced polymer, so I've pointed the redirect at that.
It has created a fair number of wrong links, but it's resolved many, many, many more. So on balance it's a net win. I've fixed the ones I could find, but I've doubtless missed some. The guidelines say you should go with common usage, and this seems to be by far the most common usage. Leaving it as it was and fixing the links is never going to fly, there's too many links that assume it's a reinforced polymer, and many more will doubtless be added- now is a good time to change this.- Sheer Incompetence (talk) Now with added dubiosity! 16:33, 30 December 2010 (UTC)
