"Controversy"

edit

"After the album was leaked onto the internet, Lady Gaga fans became enraged at one line in the song "A Kiss" in which Eminem disses Lady Gaga by calling her a "mail lady", which can be interpreted as "male lady"."

Eminem has taken shots at hundreds of celebrities over the years, and I suppose this has "enraged" their various fanbases. That doesn't mean that each of these lines deserves an entire controversy section on each of his albums. What's more neither of those sources actually say anything about fans becoming "enraged," I suggest removal. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.72.105.230 (talk) 06:45, 13 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Highly reliable sources

edit

MTV (& MTV2), Rolling Stone and Billboard have wrote about this EP. This is real. And referenced by highly reliable sources. Do not delete this article. I will edit and source it soon. Thanks! Alex Douglas (talk) 05:29, 26 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

Title

edit

I thought the title itself was "Bad Meets Evil EP", apparently according to MTV this isn't the title? http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1662592/eminem-royce-da-5-9-bad-meets-evil.jhtml Either they are confused, or we are...Which one is it? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 119.224.26.144 (talk) 07:17, 26 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

You are correct. Every source I've found (except this one from Rap-Up) says it's untitled. Alex Douglas (talk) 09:27, 26 April 2011 (UTC)Reply
RapRadar, 2DopeBoyz, Rap Basement etc just called it Bad Meets Evil EP. And since Eminem and Royce announced this news from RapRadar itself....? I don't know. I guess we'll have to wait and see.~~ —Preceding unsigned comment added by 119.224.26.144 (talk) 12:27, 26 April 2011 (UTC)Reply
RapRadar, 2DopeBoyz, Rap Basement are not reliable sources. MTV, Rolling Stone and Billboard are high-quality reliable sources. Also, the press release from Shady Records says its untitled. Problem solved. :) Alex Douglas (talk) 22:10, 26 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

^ Yup, press release was after I posted that.--Toonamiguy (talk) 14:51, 27 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

2.0 Boys

edit

How can 2.0 boys be on the tracklist for this EP. Royce said himself they record 11 tracks two of them leaked and they would use the other 9. Those two being Echo and Living Proof, so if you count 2.0 boys so if you count it that would be a total of 12 tracks they recorded and three being leaked. So i don't think 2.0 boys is on the tracklist even though he said they would be. Another point he said nothing about Yelawolf being on the EP. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.67.143.136 (talk) 01:05, 1 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

I'm On Everything

edit

Do we need to address the leak? It isn't a single is it? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 119.224.26.144 (talk) 06:48, 29 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

It could be a single because there is a artwork for it which Paul Rosenburg made that has a bald zach galifianakis on it, http://www.2dopeboyz.com/2011/05/27/bad-meets-evil-i%E2%80%99m-on-everything-f-mike-epps-prod-mr-porter/. Its not fan-made because many sites show this cover on im on everything, http://hypetrak.com/2011/05/bad-meets-evil-featuring-mike-epps-im-on-everything/, http://rapsonglyrics.blogspot.com/2011/05/bad-meets-evil-eminem-royce-da-59-im-on.html, http://rapgenius.com/lyrics/Bad-meets-evil-ft-mike-epps/I-m-on-everything, http://iamboigenius.com/music-bad-meets-evil-im-on-everything-ft-mike-epps/ — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.147.45.177 (talk) 20:54, 3 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Deluxe Version cover artwork

edit

The album cover art for the Deluxe Version of the EP is the same image. The only difference is that "Deluxe Version" is written on it and that the title and "MEETS" are in green font. Would this fail the non-free content policy? If so, the image should be taken off. Correct me if I am wrong. Thanks. WIKIPEDIAn Penguin (♫♫) 20:05, 5 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

- It IS different - The green colour and the text "deluxe edition" are what makes it different. It should be added in.Toonamiguy (talk) 11:18, 12 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Deluxe Version Extra Song?

edit

I'm not really sure of this but our local music store is already selling this in Aus, and it has an extra song Writers Block? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 110.174.216.155 (talk) 08:05, 6 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Absolutely not. "Writer's Block" is just a single from one of Royce da 5'9"'s albums, not an extra song for BME (Bad Meets Evil). Skylar3214 7:40, 27 July 2014

Sly and Claret Jai

edit

The official tracklist does not say any of these artists are featured guests on the EP. They are simply considered additional vocals. Please stop putting their names on the tracklisting. Source: A blog entry on Eminem's official website. Unless the official CD (June 14, 2011) says so. Thanks. WIKIPEDIAn Penguin (♫♫) 21:13, 7 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

I agree completely with you, Wikipedian Penguin. The iTunes track listing also doesn't list them. Wikipedian Penguin, keep reverting it. :) Thanks! Alex Douglas (talk) 10:09, 8 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Just because there not listed on the back of the EP doesnt mean they shouldnt be listed. For example, was Ghostface Killah listed on the back cover of Cuban Linx II as a feature for 'Gihad'? No. Was GZA listed as a guest for 'House Of Flying Daggers'? No, but there STILL on the song. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Vicky10304 (talkcontribs) 22:50, 8 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Also, U-God was not listed either on Method Man's 4:21 album, but he still appeared on 'The Glide'. The same concept applies here — Preceding unsigned comment added by Vicky10304 (talkcontribs) 22:53, 8 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

What about "Space Bound" and "We Made You"? They include uncreditied artists. The Relapse CD nor does iTunes consider them "feat.". An artist may appear in a song, but unless the primary artist credits them as "featured", they are merely added vocals. I think we should keep them as I suggest until the EP comes out and I am proved wrong. This is a tracklising and it is done the same way as the official tracklist. Thanks. WIKIPEDIAn Penguin (♫♫) 00:19, 9 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

U-God, Ghostface Killah etc. were not just "additonal vocals" on CLII/421, they actually had VERSES on them. The other Wiki pages still list U-God & Ghostface as being on their respective songs EVEN IF the actual CD back cover/iTunes doesnt PROPERLY list them. For Christs sake, even Sly Jordan HIMSELF is in the new Fast Lane video!! Hes FEATURED — Preceding unsigned comment added by Vicky10304 (talkcontribs) 04:37, 9 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Better source than Wikipedia - http://www.cduniverse.com/productinfo.asp?pid=7119323. WIKIPEDIAN Penguin (♫♫) 10:21, 9 June 2011 (UTC)Reply
Also, additional vocals are not necessarily background vocals for extra detail. They are any artists that do not get credited by the label/primary artist(s). About the video, so what if Sly is in it. Labrinth sings the chorus in Tinie Tempah's Pass Out but is not featured in any part of the album cover or iTunes. He does appear in the video however. We go by official sources. WIKIPEDIAN Penguin (♫♫) 17:50, 9 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

That link you posted still doesnt list U-God as a featured artist on The Glide so I dont see your point. If thats your case, you should remove U-God from 421, GZA & Ghostface from CLII because there not officially credited either in the liner notes. Stop using a double standard and list the singers. You obviously dont care on some other album Wiki pages, but try and pull it over for the EP — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.135.56.114 (talk) 20:37, 10 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

I'm not sure about CLII because it seems more like a collaborative project. But I fixed 4:21... The Day After (I noted that U-God isn't credited in the article). Wikipedia is never 100% accurate. That's why I used other official external sources to prove my point. As far as I know, only Wikipedia lists those artists. Unless you can give me a reliable source that proves Sly and Jai should be on the list (not referring to other albums), it is staying the way it is. Deluxe Edition Cover

edit

Can someone add one? Mine got taken down.Toonamiguy (talk) 11:17, 12 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Apparently, it's the same as the original, it just says "Deluxe Edition" and some green font. I didn't take it down, but I was unsure if it should be there. It's the same reason that the Born This Way Bonus Track Version's cover isn't in the article. It's just a close-up on the original. Unless the photo itself is different, it is not included. Thanks. WIKIPEDIAN Penguin (♫♫) 13:15, 12 June 2011 (UTC)Reply
Here's the different between the original edition cover and the deluxe edition cover for the EP. The word MEETS and the title HELL: THE SEQUEL is in red font, and it has no DELUXE EDITION on the cover. On the deluxe edition cover, MEETS and HELL: THE SEQUEL are both in green font, and DELUXE EDITION is put below HELL: THE SEQUEL. That's what makes those two EP covers different. End of story! EP - Studio Album

edit

Considering that this album has more than 8 tracks (which is the maximum for EP'S), i think it should be called a studio album. and the fact that it runs longer then an EP proves my point. Thank U for listening, and i hope u take wat i have said into consideration>

Neutral: True that H:TS is much longer than most other EPs and its deluxe release is questionably an LP, the group has constantly promoted the compilation as an EP. Lots of abbreviations, lol. —WP:PENGUIN · [ TALK ] 15:47, 8 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

Mr. Porter and Eminem as Executive Producers

edit

Mr. Porter was not a co-executive producer. He and Eminem are both executive producers, as described in the short booklet for the EP. Skylar3214 8:11, 28 July 2014
