Mystic Arcana

edit

The Mystic Arcana series deals alot about Oshtur. I would consider it to be the best text about her. 74.220.74.40 (talk) 03:25, 1 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Sourcing

edit

Although this is a minor character (if she is a character at all), the information provided in this page is so alien to me that I cannot but ask for sources. We might even have a case of fanon.

  • Notable aliases: I haven't ever heard some of them ("Bird Goddess"?), and I frankly doubt that "Omniopotent" is even a real word ever used to refer to Oshtur.
  • Oshtur as an Elder Goddess born from the Demiurge, and surviving the Demogorge - other sources suggest that Gaea was the only Elder Gods who survived without becaming a demon.
  • Oshtur and Hoggoth meeting and being "companions" - the first time I've seen they are more than "business partners"
  • Oshtur giving birth to Agamotto - !?!? Agamotto's entry says nothing about this.
  • Osthur being responsible for creating the Book of the Vishanti - Its entry suggests that the three Vishanti are responsible, and only behind the scenes; the Book was probably written by white wizards who dabbed on the Vishanti's power.

As this information is not commonly shown, and not easily verifyable, I suggest the addition of some sources. Thank you very much, --213.0.43.166 (talk) 12:35, 15 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

I agree that are some talk on the origin of Oshture and Agammotto that I have never read in any Doctor Strange comic. However, Oshtur has been referred to as "omnipotent" many times in older issues, specifically when he is suprised or anxious (eg. "omnipotent Oshtur" or "Hoar Hosts of Hoggoth").MPA 19:55, 7 January 2009 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by MPA (talkcontribs)

Not only aren't there no other Oshturs that I can find in comics but Oshtur is free, suggesting this is over ambiguated. I won't move it yet as I may have overlooked something. (Emperor (talk) 17:03, 10 September 2008 (UTC))Reply
