Sequencing/programming is used by countless musicians all over the world, yet the two named artists are Japanese video game composers. Including only these two individuals gives the article a distorted view on who actually programs music. I am going to delete the references to these two individuals, as I think the article can do without them. Feel free to revert if you disagree. 75.72.217.99 (talk) 01:59, 17 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

but what is it?

edit

The article describes broadly what is used and where it is used, but doesn't say what it is. What specific things does a music programmer do? How would a song that involves music programming be different if no programming occurred? What specific tools/parameters are involved in programming or what type of effects does it result in? I've always wondered about it but this article doesn't much help! Can anyone expand? 70.192.12.93 (talk) 00:57, 17 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

Why was computer generated music removed from the "see also" section?

edit

I noticed that this link was removed in this edit, despite being relevant to this article. What was the reason for this decision? Jarble (talk) 15:18, 20 March 2013 (UTC)Reply

This article confuses two different senses of the word 'programming'.

edit

There is a sense of the word programming (in a musical context) that refers to rather specialised activity use of a music coding language, and another sense referring to the more mainstream activity of making sounds by using the pre-provided facilities in a piece of musical equipment. This article seems to conflate these two usages, and as such probably represents misinformation in its current state? 62.189.64.243 (talk) 09:41, 12 January 2022 (UTC)Reply
