Juleigh Sitton is a member of a fun social group in Asheville called "Urban Legends". Together, they go out dancing, to comedy clubs, out to unusual restaurants, and other events in the area. She is also in a church book club and movie club that is separate from Urban Legends, but nonetheless in her community of Asheville.Juleigh Sitton can’t wait to explore Northern and Central Spain with her daughter.
Early Life and Career
editJuleigh Sitton is a legal professional and former trustee at Western Piedmont Community College in Morganton, NC. There she served as Chair of the Board through the conduction of a national college presidential search and the hiring of a new President.From 1987 to 1988, Juleigh Sitton was an Appellate Clerk for the Honorable Sam J. Ervin, III of United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. While practicing in Burke County, NC, Juleigh Sitton was a member and, for a term, President of the Burke County Bar Association.Juleigh Sitton was an Associate Attorney at Mitchell, Blackwell, Mitchell and Smith, P.A. in Valdese, NC from 1988 to 1994 .From 1997 to 2001, and then 2006 to 2008, Juleigh Sitton was a Commissioner on the NC Property Tax Commission.She was involved in general practice including medical malpractice, insurance and defense cases.
NC Attorney General Roy Cooper established the NC Campus Safety Task Force, of which Juleigh Sitton was an active member in 2007 and 2008.In 2012 Juleigh Sitton worked as a Consultant/Business & Economic Development Analyst for BroadPlex, LLC, a fiber optic telecommunications company in Morganton, NC.She is now an attorney working in private practice in Asheville, NC, and also serves as Municipal Attorney for the Town of Fontana Dam.
