Salona - Latin name for Solin, a town in present-day Croatia (in the region of Dalmatia), used during the reign of the Roman Empire.
NOTE: I, myself, am not a Croat, nor affiliated with Croatia (or the Balkan Peninsula for that matter) in any way, but rather an avid fan of Rome: Total War, which featured Salona as the capital city of the Roman province of Dalmatia.
