Speedy deletion nomination of Ottoman–Spanish War
editA tag has been placed on Ottoman–Spanish War requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:
No evidence of such wars exist between the Ottomans and Spain and is very misleading; Rational similar to Tfd discussion on December 5, 2023
Under the criteria for speedy deletion, pages that meet certain criteria may be deleted at any time.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. WikiCleanerMan (talk) 02:03, 13 December 2023 (UTC)
The article Ottoman–Spanish War has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
No evidence of such wars exist between the Ottomans and Spain and is very misleading; Rational similar to Tfd discussion on December 5, 2023
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. WikiCleanerMan (talk) 02:19, 13 December 2023 (UTC)

Nice work
editHi Vbbanaz05, I have just browsed through your list of articles created. Nice work. Have you considered running any of them through Wikipedia:WikiProject Military history/Assessment/Requests? Mostly for peer feedback, but also to see if any of them are up to B class. In which case you may care to have a run at the contest.
I was particularly interested in Siege of Mutina (218 BC) and Hannibal's raid to Rome as I have been working on articles from the Punic Wars recently. Eg, I have taken articles on Battle of Ticinus, Battle of Lake Trasimene, Battle of Utica (203 BC), Battle of the Trebia, Battle of Zama and Battle of New Carthage to FAC in the past year. Note that I try to avoid using primary sources, in line with WP:PRIMARYSOURCE. Reliable secondary sources are preferred. On line reliable sources include Lazenby and parts of this. Other books and many journal papers can be also be found on line or through the Wikipedia Library. Gog the Mild (talk) 23:16, 25 January 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you. I joined WikiProject Military history only because I am interested in history. I would like to participate in the contest, but I am new to Wikipedia, I only started in October, but I will review it. Thank you so much again. Vbbanaz05 (talk) 00:04, 26 January 2024 (UTC)

Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution
edit Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Soviet–Japanese War into Harbin–Kirin Operation. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution
. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 01:44, 13 February 2024 (UTC)
Hi thanks for creating this article. When we translate or borrow from other language wikis it’s a requirement to acknowledge the source. The best way to do this is to include it in your edit summary (e.g. “translated from es.wiki”) and there’s also a translation template you can add to the talk page. I’ve added it for you. Happy editing and please leave a message on my talk page if you need any help Mccapra (talk) 05:50, 2 March 2024 (UTC)

editHello. I have noticed that you often edit without using an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This helps your fellow editors use their time more productively, rather than spending it unnecessarily scrutinizing and verifying your work. Even a short summary is better than no summary, and summaries are particularly important for large, complex, or potentially controversial edits. To help yourself remember, you may wish to check the "prompt me when entering a blank edit summary" box in your preferences. Thanks! ~~ AirshipJungleman29 (talk) 12:11, 5 October 2024 (UTC)
Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe we would not use en dash here, since we are using "Anglo". Mellk (talk) 08:03, 15 October 2024 (UTC)
- I have also noticed such changes on other articles such as Battle of Shipka Pass and Battle of Rymnik. I believe hyphen would be correct here. Mellk (talk) 08:05, 15 October 2024 (UTC)
