Orphaned non-free media (Image:77087.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:77087.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 15:30, 17 September 2007 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:PrisonBreak season3Episode2.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:PrisonBreak season3Episode2.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Kochcompanychart.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Kochcompanychart.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 03:41, 1 October 2007 (UTC)

the info u added toSoulja Girl

U added this block of info on. It doesnt show in the revison his b/c u added it under the {{Soulja boy}} template box.

Where is this info from? It is obviously copied from another page or source bc there are ref/citation brackets ( [28] ) within the text. That maybe copyright infringement. Pls correct. Use your own words, or use correct quotes/citations. Thx.

Never mind about all that. The problem arose because {{Soulja Boy}} was vandalised. It's fixed now. And anyway, the info was copied from Soulja Boy (the article), so no copyright infringement. - TwoOars (Rev) 18:48, 27 October 2007 (UTC)

Re:List of 50 Cent awards - FLC candidate

Hey, when I get time I will pop by there and add my opinion. Just keeping the CSD backlog clear at the moment!. Thanks. --¤ The-G-Unit-฿oss ¤ 22:10, 8 November 2007 (UTC)

The nomination could be a tad early. User:Agüeybaná was working on the article and he was planning to nominate it after he finished up. It should be close to a featured list though. Spellcast 22:56, 8 November 2007 (UTC)

LOTD experiment

You voted for one of my prior proposals to institute a List of the Day Proposal. I may have already alerted you to an experiment I am conducting at WP:LOTD. Now that the experiment is running I can point out the benefits to the project of the method I am experimenting with that other alternatives don't offer. First, there is a set of orphaned articles for persons who do not have any featured lists of their own or persons that would like to take responsibility for more. Anyone can nominate such orphans. This benefits WP by getting people involved in list articles that might not have active editors to update them or defend them against vandalism. Please consider adopting one of our orphans.

There are several other advantages that will improve the project:

  1. Each list will be encouraged to respond to commentary and feedback during the candidacy period, which will hopefully improve the quality of the articles.
  2. Articles without pictures will be encouraged to find them. E.g., List of Harry Potter films cast members had no image before its nominator added an image for this experiment. This type of thing, of course, improves the project.
  3. Articles are encouraged to add relevant projects to their talk page. This alerts other project to articles that they would likely have an interest in and would be able to either improve or protect.

Again come by and consider adopting one of our orphans this month or in future months either adopt an orphan or give feedback on the candidates.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:LOTD) 17:24, 20 November 2007 (UTC)

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Vio co logo.gif

Thanks for uploading Image:Vio co logo.gif.

Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 19:48, 26 November 2007 (UTC)
