Self-nomination, co-nom with User:Cherub79. Another tallest building list, modeled after recently promoted lists such as List of tallest buildings in San Diego and List of tallest buildings in Oklahoma City. I believe it to meet all the FL criteria in that it is comprehensive, stable, well-referenced, well-organized, useful, and complete. Any concerns brought up here will be addressed. Thanks! *Comments Republic Plaza is a dab. Fixed "The 70 m (230 ft) was, at the time of its completion, the tallest building..." reads oddly to me. The 70m? Fixed - it was missing the word "structure". Don't relink skyscraper in para 3. Done Lead introductory sentence talks about skyscrapers above 150m, the list ranks skyscrapers above 140m. Why? It was a typo - I fixed it. Lead says 280m is 920ft, list says 280m is 919ft - consistent conversions required throughout. Done For references without notes, I'd keep the references left aligned. Done for the "Tallest buildings" section, but I left the references center aligned in the other three tables that do not have any notes. Is that okay? For missing images, use an en-dash so it doesn't just appear that we've forgotten it. Done "... in place of a height of 140 m ..." is redundant. Removed Consistent date formats within the references, i.e. either all ISO, all dmy, all mdy. Pick one and make all accessdates and dates same format. External links Ref # 11 has a dead link Removed and replaced Lead The 70-metre (230 ft) structure was, at the time of its completion, the tallest building in Southeast Asia; it remained the tallest in Singapore until the 100 m (328 ft) Shaw Centre was completed untilin 1958. During this time, the Overseas Union Bank Centre became the tallest building in the city-state; the 280 m (919 ft) was also the tallest building in the world outside of North America from its 1986 completion until 1989, when the Bank of China Tower in Hong Kong was completed. -- the 280 m was also.., a word is missing Both done Tables, refs, images check out fine. Comments from Jpeeling (talk · contribs) There's a few discrepancies that may need fixing. Lead says 29 skyscrapers constructed from 1990 through 2008, I count 30. Fixed Lead has Ocean Financial Centre at 218 metres (715 feet), the under construction list has it at 245 (804). Fixed - changed lead to 245 (804) per references The equal fifths in the main list have different heights in feet. Fixed - the heights in feet should have been equal per given sources 31 and 32 are same height in metres and feet but are not equal. Fixed Is there a reason why the first Raffles Place in the timeline list isn't linked? Fixed - I guess I just missed it :-) Note c for the timeline list says 'Since 1992, Singapore has had three tallest buildings' should this not be 1995? The Millenia Tower is 218m in the list but both sources have 223m roughly. Fixed OCBC Centre is 201m in the list but both sources have 198m roughly, changing this would also affect the timeline list. Fixed, and adjusted timeline accordingly SGX Centre One and Two are 185m in the list but one source says 187, the other 189. I removed the 189 reference, as the majority of sources state 187 Hitachi Tower is 166m in the list but both sources have 179m roughly, including the spire which the intro to that list says is included in the height. The number of stories is also different to both sources. Fixed, and removed the second reference whose floor count differed from the majority of sources Neither of the refs for One Marina Boulevard have its height, an additional ref needed. I couldn't find a source for the building's height, so I removed it from the list. The ref for Pan Pacific Singapore doesn't have its height, an additional ref needed. I couldn't find a source for the building's height, so I removed it from the list. Refs 38 and 40 are the same, refname can be used to simplify. Those refs have now both been removed, per above. Also in one of the references it's down as being completed in 2000. I see from the Wikipedia article on the building there's a new block, but it might merit a note to clear up possible confusion. --Jpeeling (talk) 20:51, 2 August 2009 (UTC) Oops, that was a mistake - the 168-metre building was completed in 2000, and a much shorter tower of the same name (and located on the same block) was completed in 1953. The 1953 Bank of China Building doesn't meet the height cut-off for inclusion in the list, and while it was one of the city's early skyscrapers, it did not rise higher than the Cathay Building, so it isn't on the timeline either. Anyway, I fixed the building's entry to reflect that the 168 m tower was completed in 2000, not 1953. Cheers, Rai•me 00:34, 3 August 2009 (UTC)
