editWLL in Rennes, France
editI just discovered TWL with the new newsletter and I love it, I am thinking about some port to the French-language Wikipedia. For now the Wikipedians of Rennes, Brittany, France organize a small editathon on 24 November in the central library; could the following item be added to a WLL section? I don’t know if the newsletter will be issued before the date, but it’s not very important, we already contacted potentially interested people; it’s more for informational purposes.
- Rennes, France, Sunday, 24 November. The Wikipedians of Rennes, Brittany (the so-called NCO) were invited by the central library of Rennes Les Champs Libres for a first small editathon on 24 November for Wikipedia and Wikisource activities, given it is the 10th anniversary of Wikisource and given the library concomitantly opened a new digital library centered on local heritage.

editNewsBank
editThe library where I use NewsBank had to drop it because they didn't have the budget. I don't know when I will lose access there, but I have contributed so much great information to Wikipedia that I got from there. I could drive farther maybe once a month to another library where that won't be a problem, though ironically there are fewer newspapers available.
This isn't so much a suggestion for Books and Bytes, but it would be covered there if you did it. Could you work on getting access to NewsBank?

editElectronic Enlightenment
editMy OUP contact has confirmed that, as a result of my work as WIR at the University of Oxford, Electronic Enlightenment has been added to the OUP Scholarship accounts. See the description of EE which I've added at the foot of that page. It would be nice to have some publicity for this. I've created target article lists for Electronic Enlightenment, with entries in EE and in Wikidata but not in English Wikipedia. MartinPoulter (talk) 11:28, 1 June 2017 (UTC)
