The current chairman of Bharatganj is Mr. Hafiz Zubair Ahmed since December 1, 2017. In Uttar Pradesh Nikay chunav held on November 26, 2017, he won the election by 1038 votes from Mrs. Salma Begum (Mr. Hafiz Zubair Ahmed - 4248 Votes, Mrs. Salma Begum- 3210 Votes, Sirajuddin Khan - 657 Votes, Vijay Kumar - 310 Votes and Ramzan Khan - 18 Votes).
