Hola (Arabic: هوله) are the descendants of Sunni Persians[citation needed] and Afro-Persians[citation needed] who migrated to the Arab states of the Persian Gulf during the 19th century.[citation needed]
Note: There is at least 1 Hola family which comes from Jawadir, Pakistan.[citation needed]
Non-Arab descent
DNA tests have confirmed that the Janahi Hola family belongs to the R1a1a haplogroup[1][dubious – discuss], which is mostly found within Iranian Kurds, Persians, Baloch, Africans and Bandaris.[2] This means that the family does not belong to the Arab Bani Khalid tribe, as previously claimed.[citation needed][dubious – discuss]
