Discussion

You'd be more convincing when warning against personal attacks if you actually, um, linked to a personal attack. Just because someone proves you wrong, that doesn't, in and of itself, constitute a "personal attack". Falsely accusing someone of having made personal attacks, without anything to back it up, is disruptive behaviour itself. And fake warnings are guaranteed to be ignored. Of course, don't forget that, should you not wish to see this etiquette reminder on your talk page, you're more than welcome to delete or archive it. 209.90.135.121 (talk) 05:08, 20 August 2009 (UTC)

Sure thing. In this edit, you accused another editor (me) of "ignoring BLP when it isn't convenient." and assumed a bad-faith reason: "disapprov[ing] of [someone's] reasons for not self-outing". These accusations against another contributor on an article Talk page fail WP:AGF and WP:NPA.

You have since made two other uncivil actions: in this edit, when you removed another editor's (my) comment, your edit referred to the comment as "utter nonsense" and then as "nonsense". WP:CIVIL specifically lists "Judgmental tone in edit summaries" as uncivil, and thus inappropriate.

Further, your "etiquette reminder" (above) itself has a hostile tone. The first sentence is needlessly inflammatory, it is something someone would say while bickering. Framing my reminder as a "false... accusation" and a "fake warning" is not comparable to calmly asking for evidence and then waiting, which would have been more appropriate.

Please try to adjust your tone. Baiting and taunting other editors will only make your time here unpleasant. Whatever404 (talk) 13:17, 20 August 2009 (UTC)
