Welcome!

  • Do not leave the "welcome" template here.
  • I will not register a wikiaccount.
  • No, this is not a shared IP.
  • See WP:WAE.
  • While archiving is "preferred", there is no Wiki-rule saying blanking your user page is unacceptable, and as such, I usually keep this page clear.

April 2010

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 72 hours for I have blocked you (anon only) for edit warring to include an external link against consensus. Please discuss rather then edit warring.. Please stop. You are welcome to make useful contributions after the block expires. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first. This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

I see that my edits to the Christopher Ashlee article may have been particularly aggressive. Unfortunately, I did revert many edits to that article without coming to consensus. And although it seems obvious that other users involved also were unwilling to come to consensus, this does not excuse my actions. In the future, should my edits be reverted unfairly and without general agreement, I will allow the changes of other editors to remain without participating in the same un-Wikilike behavior; and understand that any possible poor editing choices of other editors does not excuse similar behavior on my part. I am deeply sorry for my aggressive editing and commit to working fairly. 207.237.230.164 (talk) 14:44, 11 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

User was recently blocked for 48 for disruptive editing, and two unblocks requests were unsuccessful (one declined, one unanswered, see here for details (removed by user in an action within policy but one wonders what they want to hide)). I don't think user gets the issue yet and I am not willing to take the user's assurances on faith at this time (AGF is not a suicide pact) Suggest that if there is a further repetition after this block expires that the next block be for quite a bit longer. ++Lar: t/c 12:24, 12 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

This user is asking that their block be reviewed:

Request reason:

Lar, I understand your hesitancy completely, and perhaps you are correct that I should take a COOL and remove my self from the project for a bit. You say that you "don't think user gets the issue yet", but I have read DE and 3RR...so if you could please help me understand more clearly exactly what the issue is, that would be much appreciated. Since the DE block I've restrained from participating in weighing in on RfC's and ANI's and have focused on content, and I have explained how I will adhere to the 3RR policy going forward. Additionally, I did request formal policy regarding WAE to make sure I adhere to any set guidelines. My goal is to become a better editor and as you are such an experienced one, any advice you can give here or in the future would be great. Thank you. 207.237.230.164 (talk) 14:18, 12 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Notes:

  • In some cases, you may not in fact be blocked, or your block has already expired. Please check the list of active blocks. If no block is listed, then you have been autoblocked by the automated anti-vandalism systems. Please remove this request and follow these instructions instead for quick attention by an administrator.
  • Please read our guide to appealing blocks to make sure that your unblock request will help your case. You may change your request at any time.
Administrator use only:

If you ask the blocking administrator to comment on this request, replace this template with the following, replacing "blocking administrator" with the name of the blocking admin:

If you decline the unblock request, replace this template with the following code, substituting {{subst:Decline reason here}} with a specific rationale. Leaving the decline reason unchanged will result in display of a default reason, explaining why the request was declined.
