Career
[edit]Laws is a drag performer known as Dita Garbo. Their stage name is derived from burlesque performer Dita Von Teese and actress Greta Garbo.[4] They began to explore drag in Madrid and was a member of the androgynous drag group Lujuria ("lust" in Spanish). After performing with Lujuria, they took a fifteen-year break from drag to work as a dance teacher.[4] Garbo competed on the sixth series of RuPaul's Drag Race UK, becoming the first queen to be eliminated after a lip sync against Kiki Snatch. Aged 48 at the time of competing, Garbo is the oldest contestant to appear in the RuPaul's Drag Race UK franchise.[5]
Outside of drag, Laws is a dancer, event producer, and teacher who works with children.[1][6] They describe their drag style as "burlesque Hollywood glamour".[4]
