  • 02:5302:53, 1 December 2022 diff hist +1,799 Persian campaign (World War I) LouisAragon: "negationist" sources? Miroshnikov's 1964 book cited here consists of lectures he gave at Harvard University in 1962, and is based on Russian archives. The 1920 Iranian government report on military casualties cited and quoted in Majd (2013) is from US State Department archives. These are not "negationist" sources. Besides, the first paragraph did not contain a single sourced citation. The unsourced claim that millions of Iranians died in the Armenian genocide is absurd and false. Tag: Reverted

  • 18:0618:06, 28 November 2022 diff hist +1,604 Persian campaign (World War I) Removed the unsourced, false, and objectionable statement that "over 2 million Persian civilians died in the conflict, mostly due to the Armenian genocide by the Ottoman regime". Added Iranian government's figure on Iranian deaths caused directly by military operations by the invaders. Tag: Reverted

  • 20:4420:44, 22 November 2022 diff hist +185 World War II casualties There was an error in the total number of famine deaths. The actual sum of "Civilian deaths due to war-related famine and disease" given in column 4 is 22,188,000 to 32,650,000. In round numbers, it is 22 to 33 million and not 19 to 28 million given in the article. Similar to many previous conflicts, deaths by famine and disease had exceeded military deaths. It also increases the estimated overall casualty figures.

  • 22:4622:46, 31 October 2022 diff hist +3,185 Persian famine of 1917–1919 TheTimesAreAchanging. Back in January 2022, I pointed out in the article's talk page that Abrahamian had made false and defamatory claims against Majd and these are reproduced in the WP article. Received no response or feedback. Given that substance of claim is also repeated in Ayatollah Khamenei's website, matter has to be dealt with and did so in the footnotes. Removed material that could be constructed as OR. And yes, Cronin cites Majd in her famine deliberations.

  • 20:4020:40, 27 October 2022 diff hist +3,777 Persian famine of 1917–1919 Death toll. The 2 million death toll has a very shaky provenance and weak documentary basis. It should stay in the article but lack of acceptable documentation should be clearly stated. In the process, made editorial changes to and expanded the death toll section. Contemporary perceptions. Pointed out that the article contains false and slanderous accusation against one of the authors cited in the article. Tag: Reverted

  • 21:1621:16, 21 October 2022 diff hist +960 World War II casualties In the article cited as a reference to the Iran famine, oddly, the author's name and the journal title were given in Persian despite the fact that they are given in English in the original English publication. An obvious ruse (and possible vandalism) that makes it useless to the English reader and helps conceal article content. Converted back into English, added original article PDF, and included Holocaust Encyclopedia and the original book on the WW2 Iran famine and epidemics.as references.

  • 17:1517:15, 19 September 2022 diff hist +1,650 Persian famine of 1917–1919 The previous "stable" version contains almost nothing on the suffering of the peasantry. The omission is partly rectified by inclusion of a couple of sources, including Willem Floor (2003). A general observation: the WWI famine is an understudied topic. Maintaining a "stable" text is assuredly not the answer.

O Grada dishonestly uses Bharier's famine denial as the source for his claim that the WWII famine was "probably modest". See talk pages of the two famines. All edits and revisions based on the article's two cited sources, Majd 2016 and 2021, hence no legitimate reason for deleting them. Tag: Undo
