User:79.10.65.13 I reverted back to last edit by User:219.165.188.51. There were a number of name and date changes made. I reverted because I could not tell what information this user may have posted that was correct. The two main mistakes I noted were that Alaska was listed as a Territory in the information board and that Juneau stopped being the capitol in 1912. Juneau is still the capitol and Alaska is a state. Subdivisions of Alaska

[edit]

i know that the first census of alaska was made in 1880 and that there were two subdivisions and these were like the first two counties they were called Northern District And Southern District. and seeing as how this artical referes to Alaska As a district they could be thought of as sub districts these subdivisions lasted from 1880 to the year 1910. i want to know where exactly does this division of the state occur but i have been searching the Internet for the past 11 years and have never found a website showing a map with the borders of the first two counties. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.164.107.144 (talk) 05:29, 21 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • From what I understand there were plans to cut Alaska into two separate states eventually. Before adding that "2 sub-county" information you will need to find all the provenance and sources. Jeff Smith (talk) 22:08, 24 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
