James Vance cause of death

Nothing seems to support that he died of complications of his suicide attempt. Rob Halford writes in his book "Vance has since died of methadone overdose..." I looked up the cited article article, which does not cite a cause of death. I searched for newspaper articles, which either don't mention cause of death, or speculate overdose. about Andy Sneap

I learned from an article in NME Japan that Andy Sneap is still with the band as a touring member. There are currently six members listed in the members section of infobox. Is it a problem to put Sneap, a touring member, in the infobox? --Hatto (talk) 12:19, 17 January 2022 (UTC)

Founding line-up

The band named Judas Priest that was formed in late 1969, toured Scotland over the winter, lasted up to mid-1970, and was comprised of Al Atkins, Bruno Stapenhill, John Perry/Ernie Chataway, and John Partridge should not be confused with the band Judas Priest, formed in late 1970 as Freight by Ken Downing, Ian Hill, and John Ellis, whom this article is about. The band was renamed to Judas Priest after Atkins, of the "other" Judas Priest joined them, but these are changes to the band Freight (a new member and a new name). I suggest that this page, as well as all other relevant pages on Wikipedia, are changed accordingly, and perhaps the "original" Judas Priest, who at the end of the day played the blues and not heavy rock, could be mentioned on Atkins' page. Chronology

There's been some recent confusion from new editors and IPs about chronology in the JP album infoboxes--whether they should include only studio albums. I haven't found any policy that supports the removal of comps (or EPs or live albums, for that matter), and as I mentioned in a revert, "big artists" like Dylan and the Stones include comps in their album infobox chrons. A knowledgeable Judas Priest editor probably needs to check all this. Don't have a stake in it, just never removed a few of these albums from my watchlist. Thanks. • The Infobox at top of page is much more important and can't generally list compilation and other non-studio albums. The Navbox templates usually placed at the bottom of articles can cover more details such as compilation albums and some others. If other band related articles need more eyes watching and curating them please specify which.   Thanks for your response, but we're still without a policy-based answer. If you think the infobox chrons should only list studio albums, it would be helpful to link to a policy or guidance that indicates that, or a prior JP talk page discussion. My position is that there isn't one--although I'm happy to be corrected. Some acts, like Aerosmith, have comp-only chrons under their inboxes. Others, like the Stones, include everything. I'm going to leave it alone, but this may require input from other JP regulars, not just, as stated above, new editors and IPs. Have a good weekend. Caro7200 (talk) 18:29, 7 June 2024 (UTC)

• Thought I remembered something—the Wikipedia:WikiProject Albums talk page reached consensus in 2020 that the chronology infobox encompasses all album types.[1] If Judas Priest and Metal WP editors reach consensus to use only studio albums, great. Cheers. Caro7200 (talk) 22:34, 7 June 2024 (UTC)
