Photo
[edit]Is there a better photo of Sutton available? I believe that is Malcom X in the front and Sutton is in the background. Correct me if I wrong on this, but it matches other photos of Sutton. --Gadget850 ( Ed) 16:14, 7 September 2006 (UTC)
Correction
[edit]This was issued on 7 Jan 2010: Correction: Percy Sutton obituary 01-07-2010 10:00 AM MST NEW YORK (Associated Press) -- In a Dec. 27 obituary of civil rights attorney Percy Sutton, The Associated Press erroneously reported that Sutton's father, Samuel, was a former slave. A family spokeswoman, Terrie Williams, says that Sutton's father lived in times of U.S. slavery but was not enslaved. In a videotaped oral history, Sutton said that his family had believed for years that his father had been born into slavery in Virginia, but found out later that his father was born free in Texas.
