GA review (see here for criteria)
  1. It is reasonably well written.
    a (prose): b (MoS):
In the military section OTC and CCF should be spelled out in the section headings. It also seems incongruous to refer to the Great War in one paragraph, and the Second World War in the next. Some of the prose there is pretty opaque to me as an American--is "old boy" a technical term in this context? How about "O.S.?" In "Alumni/ae" Notable alumni/ae include... no alumnae. Add some or make it solely alumni--which, in fact, would be perfectly fine for gender neutral use throughout.
  • 'OTC' and 'CCF' now spelled out; 'Great War' changed to 'First World War'; 'old boy' changed to 'O.S.'; 'notable alumni/ae' changed to 'notable alumni' (I have retained main heading as the main article link and general description refers to -i and -ae). 1. It is factually accurate and verifiable.
a (references): b (citations to reliable sources): c (OR):
Lots of self-published, non-independent references. It would be nice if the ratio of independent to SPS could be increased, but this is not a showstopper.
  2. It is broad in its coverage.
    a (major aspects): b (focused):
  3. It follows the neutral point of view policy.
    Fair representation without bias:
  4. It is stable.
    No edit wars etc.:
  5. It is illustrated by images, where possible and appropriate.
a (images are tagged and non-free images have fair use rationales): b (appropriate use with suitable captions):
Image:Boys' Chapel.jpg and Image:Stonyhurst at night.jpg are too dark. Image:Engraved Stonyhurst Logo.jpg appears twice--delete one. Image:Stonyhurst College crest.JPG is too large to be considered "low resolution" for fair use purposes--please replace with a lower resolution copy.

  1. Overall:
    Pass/Fail:
ON HOLD for up to a week--the image and section headings need to be addressed for a pass. Jclemens (talk) 02:42, 15 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
PASSED per modifications made in response to this feedback. Good job. Jclemens (talk) 16:52, 19 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
