Hi, I'm not sure how this works, but this game is more normally spelled Tapuwae,(footprint)although Tapawai is a variant. http://poppertiyq.es.tl/how-to-play-tapuwae-game.htm‎ https://sites.google.com/a/tauranga-int.school.nz/rm36-tis/home/tapuwae https://waka5d2011.wikispaces.com/Cory Annaorlando (talk) 02:59, 4 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not sure if those sites are suitable references, but there's a book called Nga Taonga Takaro - Maori Sports and Games which might be. I'll get a copy of it tomorrow.-gadfium 08:38, 4 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
The book prefers the spelling "Tapu ae". A google search for this name shows almost all relevant hits, while a search for "Tapuwae" gives many unrelated hits for people and places. "Tapawai" gives mostly relevant hits, but some are influenced by this article. My inclination is to rename the article to "Tapu ae", but I'll wait a few days to see if there are any objections.-gadfium 02:40, 7 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I've renamed the article and expanded it slightly.-gadfium 01:56, 22 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
